TERMINATE WHAT WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO CONTINUE IN YOUR OFFICE
Heb 7:23-24 KJV 23 And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death: 24 But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
The writer of the book of Hebrew continued to prove the excellency of Christ’s priesthood above that of Aaron. The Levitical priests, he says, they were many and mortal: their mortality was the cause of their multitude: they were cut off by death, and succeeded one another; but Christ is one and the same to his church, yesterday, today and for ever; he had no partner, has no successor, but executes an everlasting unchangeable priesthood in his own person.
Question: But did not Christ, our great High Priest, die as well as Aaron and other high priests?
Answer Yes, he died as a priest, they died from being priests; he died as a priest, because he was also to be a sacrifice.
The apostle doth not say, that he did not die, but that he always abideth: he abode a priest even in the state of death, and after his resurrection he became immortal, never to die more; he ever liveth, he dieth no more, death has no more dominion over him. See how He describes himself, I am he that liveth, and was dead: and behold I am alive for evermore; and have the keys of hell and death. Rev 1:18.
not suffered to continue—Greek, “hindered from permanently continuing,” namely, in the priesthood. Because they are being hindered by death from continuing (i.e ‘in their priesthood,’ not ‘in their life,’ which makes a poor tautological sense).
They were not hindered because they were not effective or not performing the functions of their office very well as expected but death hindered them. It terminated their continuity in the office and so they have to be succeeded one after the other.
All of us are occupying one office or the other, some occupying more than two to four at the same time.
If you are a wife, you are in an office because you are married to someone. The husband is in the office to his wife. He is called a husband to somebody. You could be a teacher, lecturer, scientist, government worker, contractor, whatever your designation is, you are occupying an office.
According to Nigeria civil service law for instance, when you clock 60 years or have served 35 years, you are expected to resign because age or length of year of service would not allow you to continue in that office. So, we have retired police officers, civil servants earning pensions, etc. For those who are serving the natin, after 11 months, you are not allowed or permitted to display yourself as a Youth Corper and the reason is because the time allocated for service year was over. You will be proud to call yourself a retiree, ex-corp member, etc because you are moving forward in life.
In the text we read, the Priests were hindered from continuing in their office by death even though there was age limit for service Num 4: 3-4, but many were terminated not because they have reached that age, not because they were not efficient or productive but death hindered them while still in the office.
This is my point. While still in the office, In life the devil had programmed and arranged things to terminate the continuity of the people occupying those offices.
It could be mis-behaviour, sin, greed, abuse of office, high-mindedness, envy, jealousy, financial hardship, strife, works of the devil, demonic influences, lost of favour from the superior, mismanagement, divorce, separation, fault finding, implication, robbery of stores, fraud, scammer, etc. There are a lot of things that the devil has put in place to hinder people from continuing in their respective offices.
The only thing that is permitted to cause a shift or change in the office is the favour of God that is lifting an individual, promoting him, changing his career, helping him to fulfil destiny. If it is from God, it will not be retrogressive, stagnating or evil but generally good for the person.
Which office are you occupying now? Are you a house wife, a husband, a lecturer, teacher, corp member, tailor, engaged to marry, civil servant, etc. There are some powers who are plotting to remove you, terminate your appointment, deny you the grace to continue in that position. They want to take over your business premises, your office, your place in that establishment.

Whatever has been put in place both now and in the nearest future to terminate your present office be terminated in Jesus name.
