Conceive and bring forth
Mat 12:34-35 KJV 34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. 35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
The Greek word for treasure is”thesauros”
Phonetic: thay-sow-ros’
- the place in which good and precious things are collected and laid up
- a casket, coffer, or other receptacle, in which valuables are kept
- a treasury
- storehouse, repository, magazine, a deposit.
Both the good man and evil man have treasure stored in their hearts and from there they bring forth.
What they bring forth has many implications:
Pro 13:2 KJV A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth: but the soul of the transgressors shall eat violence.
Pro 12:14 KJV A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompence of a man’s hands shall be rendered unto him.
Pro 18:20 KJV A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.
This means whatever comes out of the mouth of people are not second guess but are by products or direct products of what they have stored up. The manifestation is what we see in our lives today.
We are products of what we have planted and brought forth or what we have allowed others to plant and bring forth.
How did those things, the treasure get into the heart and stored up?
This leads us to the second way of conceiving.
Seeds are involved in all conception processes. In plants it is pollination, animal intimates and it is the same for the birds. The seed has to be deposited and then conception takes place.
We were born again through the agency of the seed.
1Pe 1:23 KJV Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
Seed here is “spora”
1Jn 3:9 KJV Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
Seed here is sperma
In the parable of the sower, the Lord made us know that the seed is the word and the ground is the heart of man. The part of the man or heart where the seed is sown is in the imagination or mind of the man.
Luk 8:11 KJV Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
Psa 119:11 KJV Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
The word “hid” there is “tsaphan”. It means to hide, treasure, treasure or store up, to hide (by covering over); by implication to hoard or reserve
How to plant seed:
- Read the word and hear the word: Give attention to reading Paul told Timothy Let it not depart from your eyes. Read it out repeatedly. Memorize it. Repetition is the mother of assimilation 1Tim 4: 13-15
Pro 4:20 KJV My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
1Ti 4:13 KJV Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
- Decide on what you need and find the seed in the word. The seed is the word.
Luk 8:11 KJV Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
Find that word(s) that corresponds to the desire or need.
3. Write it down
Hab 2:2 KJV And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
Rev 1:19 KJV Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;
4 Meditate, ponder and think on the word
Jos 1:8 KJV This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Psa 1:2 KJV But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
To meditate is to contemplate; to keep the mind fixed upon something; to study. To contemplate is to look at on all sides or in all its aspects; to view or consider with continued attention; to regard with deliberate care; to meditate on; to study, ponder, or consider.

Part of the meditation process is to speak the word, declare, repeat over and over. “Hagah” means to mutter, utter, speak under breath, roar and talk loudly.
5. Let the word paint a picture in your heart. I.e see yourself in that picture. Envision the word. Let it create a mental picture.
Gen 11:6 KJV And the LORD said, Behold, the people are one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
Begin to imagine it, this is when conception takes place. Jam 1:15.
When the pictures take the whole of you, you will see yourself ‘captivated’, ‘arrested’, ‘clasp;, ‘seize’ by what you think on. You become your thoughts.
Pro 23:7 KJV For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
Our lives follow the direction of our dominant thoughts.
The English people say whatever a man can imagine, he can achieve.
Can you see yourself in the context of the word. See yourself healed, delivered, employed, promoted, physically conceived, prosperous. Until you see the new image of yours, you are yet to conceive. Go back to meditation processes.
This ability to create the mental image is conception and you will become what you see on the inside. Say I see a better me. That is why Paul admonished us to renew our mind.
Rom 12:2 KJV And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Romans 12:2 NLT Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
Romans 12:2 Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God — what is good and is pleasing to him and is perfect.
Transformed – Present passive imperative.
It is done by the Holy Ghost.
The renewal is our responsibility. This renewing here is different from the one in Titus 3: 5 This is done by the Holy Ghost when we become born again.
Tit 3:5 KJV Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
The transformation is done by God when we renew our mind-change the way we think, the way we see things and perceive them. In order word, create a different mental picture.
There must be a radical change in the inner man for one to live rightly in this evil age
How to bring forth?
1. Use your mouth
It is through the mouth. Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth bringeth forth. What the mouth brings forth is first sown in the heart. The mental picture created is spoken out

Abundance there is “perisseuma” It means: abundance, in which one delights of that which fills the heart.
In order words, the heart must be filled with more words. Col says let the word of Christ dwell in you richly.
2. Travailing prayers
Gal 4:19 KJV My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,
He compares himself to a mother in travail, until he saw Christ formed in their hearts and lives.
Mic 4:10 KJV Be in pain, and labour to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail: for now shalt thou go forth out of the city, and thou shalt dwell in the field, and thou shalt go even to Babylon; there shalt thou be delivered; there the LORD shall redeem thee from the hand of thine enemies.
3. Confession
Confession is only effective when you have planted, sowed the seed of the word in your heart. You release what you carry by confessing that you have it even when all circumstances prove otherwise.
Begin to speak forth what is in the heart. It is called confession which brings possession.
Mar 11:24 KJV Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
2Co 4:13 KJV We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;
We keep saying it not to make it to be so but because it is so. We have seen it in our heart, so we declare it publicly and privately.
4. Act your faith.
The last stage and part with the confession is to act on what you believe. Act as if it is already a done deal. Talk, dress, act, behave, plan, etc. These are evidence that truly you believe.
Jas 2:18 KJV Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
This is called the corresponding action of faith. When you act, you are calling the forces of nature to create the enabling environment for the word to manifest.

Importance of conception
Mar 11:24 KJV Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
The word “Receive” is tantamount to conceive. It is an INCUBATION period. The time you are pregnant with clear cut objectives.
Believe that ye have received. The original implies, that when you asked, you received, God at once granted your request, so that the answer comes before the fulfilment, which is spoken of as future: ye shall have them, lit., ‘it shall be to you.’
That is the test of faith, the kind that sees the fulfilment before it happens.

Last evening I knelt down here and prayed to the Lord for that desk, chair and bicycle, and by the power of the Holy Spirit, I conceived that desk, chair and bicycle. It is as if they’re inside me, growing right now. And they are as much a desk, chair and bicycle as when they will be seen by people at the time of their delivery.”
But all those days I knew that I had every one of those things growing in me. It just takes time, as a mother takes time to give birth to a child. It takes time for you, too, because you become pregnant with all of your clear-cut objectives.
I was praising the Lord, and sure enough, when the time came, I had every one of those things. I had exactly all the things I had asked for—a desk made out of Philippine mahogany; a chair made by the Japanese Mitsubishi Company, with rollers on the tips so that I could roll around when I sat on it; and a slightly used bicycle, with gears on the side, from an American missionary’s son.
