HOW TO RECEIVE SUPERNATURAL HELP
1Ki 15:16-23 KJV 16 And there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days. 17 And Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah, and built Ramah, that he might not suffer any to go out or come in to Asa king of Judah. 18 Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that were left in the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king’s house, and delivered them into the hand of his servants: and king Asa sent them to Benhadad, the son of Tabrimon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying, 19 There is a league between me and thee, and between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent unto thee a present of silver and gold; come and break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me. 20 So Benhadad hearkened unto king Asa, and sent the captains of the hosts which he had against the cities of Israel, and smote Ijon, and Dan, and Abelbethmaachah, and all Cinneroth, with all the land of Naphtali. 21 And it came to pass, when Baasha heard thereof, that he left off building of Ramah, and dwelt in Tirzah. 22 Then king Asa made a proclamation throughout all Judah; none was exempted: and they took away the stones of Ramah, and the timber thereof, wherewith Baasha had builded; and king Asa built with them Geba of Benjamin, and Mizpah. 23 The rest of all the acts of Asa, and all his might, and all that he did, and the cities which he built, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? Nevertheless in the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet.

2Ch 16:1 KJV In the six and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa Baasha king of Israel came up against Judah, and built Ramah, to the intent that he might let none go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.
Asa was the king of Judah while Baasha was the King of Israel. There was this temple in Jerusalem where people go to worship. The king of Israel did not want his people to be going to Jerusalem to worship. In order to achieve that he built Ramah. He fortified Ramah.
Ramah = ” hill” was a town in Benjamin on the border of Ephraim about 5 miles (8 kilometers) from Jerusalem and near to Gibeah
a very high elevated wall to prevent access to Jerusalem. Even in times of war the wall will not allow anyone to go out or come into Asa.
This garrison lying on the borders of both kingdoms, he thought hereby to cut off all communication between them.
It was not merely to have an advanced post as a menace to Jerusalem (Rawlinson), but primarily, by its command of the high road, to prevent his subjects from falling away to the kingdom of Judah, or even from going up to Jerusalem to worship;
in fact, to isolate Judah and to blockade its capital. That there was a great defection to Asa at this time we know from 2Ch 15:9 . This was an exodus which Baasha felt must be checked. He sought to block him up, and so to keep his own people – who had a mind to the sincere service of God – from flying away to him.
Baasha, who was now the king of Israel, started to fortify the city of Ramah, north of Jerusalem, in order that he might cut off all of the trade that was coming into Judah or all of the trade that would go out ( 2Ch 16:1 ).
In life one of the reasons why help doesn’t come to people is because of walls like Ramah that the enemy has built along their path. So that none might go in to assist them, help them, rescue them, intervene or buy from them.
The reason why no one has come to do any business transaction, make a serious proposal, come to you could be because of Ramah. Ramah was built by Baasha to prevent any intercourse with the Asa king of Judah.
he was going to cut off all of the supplies that were coming in to Jerusalem
When there is Ramah, access to people is cut off, there is blockade. You are left alone and isolated.
When there is Ramah between you and your boss or customers, you may not be able to get the needed favour. You may be in a place and nobody is talking to you.
But as we pray that Ramah shall collapse before you in Jesus name.
When you read the story down, Asa had to employ the help of people to remove the stones that had been used to build Ramah.
Sometimes in life also there are some barriers that are so mighty and they prevent us from achieving our aims and objectives and we will need supernatural intervention. Such was the case of Mary Magdalene and other women. They had prepared spices to anoint the body of Jesus that has been buried.
Luk 23:56 KJV And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.
On the day after Sabbath, they decided to come annoying the body of Jesus.
but there was one barrier and hindrance. They were aware of it because they knew a big stone had been placed at the entrance.
Mar 16:3 KJV And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?
A mighty big stone has been placed at the entrance of the tomb by the Pharisees and soldiers so that according to them Jesus will not rise up or his disciples will not come and steal him away.
Mat 27:63-64 KJV 63 Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again. 64 Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first.
The women were coming on their own with right and good intention but were wondering and worried about who would roll the stone away for them. They were concerned. Who will help them?
I said one of the reasons why we will need help could be because the task is too big for one person. In this case the women had no capacity to engage in such a task, they don’t have bulldozers, so they have been contemplating and wondering how this will be done. They needed help.
But when they looked up they found that the stone had been rolled away.
Mar 16:4 KJV And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.
How? When? Why? God knew they were coming. So God did a wonder.
Mat 28:1-2 KJV 1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. 2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
The Lord saw their intention and their helplessness, He sent His angel to roll away the stone while they were on their way. He sent help ahead of them.
The stone was not a barrier to the Lord Jesus. Evidence of His resurrection must be clear and convincing. The stone was rolled away to show that the tomb was empty. chiefly the stone was rolled away by the angel, as an emblem of the acquittance and discharge of Christ
The angel had descended, rolled away the stone, and was sitting on it, before the women reached the tomb.
Every stone, barrier before you shall collapse and be rollaway in Jesus name.
Maybe you have been wondering and worried on how you will get things done. You are ready and prepared like the two Mary but you are aware of this obstacle physical and spiritual, but i pray for you today:
There shall be divine assistance and help in Jesus name.
May the Lord send help ahead of you in Jesus name.
Maybe you are about rounding up in school or have finished or serving, or you have a business and you are wondering and concerned about the stones of unemployment, scarcity of jobs and business, challenges in marital life. May God send help ahead of you in Jesus name.
They didn’t have to struggle or cry for help but sent help.
God was working behind the scene while the women were coming. Most Christians don’t know or are not aware of what God is doing on their behalf. They complain, worry and are anxious. Most of the time and in many cases, God is always working while we think He is silent or not concerned about our cases. He is perfecting things for us, rolling away stones, sending men across our paths, removing barriers and impediments, touching lives and putting our matter in the heart of men. He is not silent concerning you or yours but He is actively working even if it means sending an earthquake, tremor and storms to get things done, He will do it for you.
The Bible says when they looked they saw that the stone had been rolled away. While we are concerned and worried, we can’t see. Our attention is focused on ourselves. Self retrospective brings self pity and delusion. Maybe you need to take your eyes away from yourself, your problems and challenges and believe the bIble that says look unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. When we look unto Jesus our problems diminishes and becomes inconsequential.
Heb 12:2 KJV Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Prayers:
Let there be earthquakes and supernatural demonstrations to roll away every physical and spiritual stone and barriers to my miracles in Jesus name.
I receive divine assistance, divine connection and arrangements in Jesus name.
On my behalf this day let the angels be released for divine intervention in Jesus name.
