ENFORCING WHAT IS WRITTEN

ENFORCING WHAT IS WRITTEN

TEXT:

2Ki:11:1: And when Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the seed royal. :2: But Jehosheba, the daughter of king Joram, sister of Ahaziah, took Joash the son of Ahaziah and stole him from among the king’s sons which were slain; and they hid him, even him and his nurse, in the bedchamber from Athaliah, so that he was not slain.:3: And he was with her hid in the house of the LORD six years.  And Athaliah did reign over the land.:4: And the seventh year Jehoiada sent and fetched the rulers over hundreds, with the captains and the guard, and brought them to him into the house of the LORD, and made a covenant with them, and took an oath of them in the house of the LORD, and shewed them the king’s son.:5: And he commanded them, saying, This is the thing that ye shall do; A third part of you that enter in on the sabbath shall even be keepers of the watch of the king’s house;:6: And a third part shall be at the gate of Sur; and a third part at the gate behind the guard: so shall ye keep the watch of the house, that it be not broken down.:7: And two parts of all you that go forth on the sabbath, even they shall keep the watch of the house of the LORD about the king.:8: And ye shall compass the king around about, every man with his weapons in his hand: and he that cometh within the ranges, let him be slain: and be ye with the king as he goeth out and as he cometh in.:9: And the captains over the hundreds did according to all things that Jehoiada the priest commanded: and they took every man his men that were to come in on the sabbath, with them that should go out on the sabbath, and came to Jehoiada the priest.:10: And to the captains over hundreds did the priest give king David’s spears and shields, that were in the temple of the LORD. :11: And the guard stood, every man with his weapons in his hand, round about the king, from the right corner of the temple to the left corner of the temple, along by the altar and the temple.:12: And he brought forth the king’s son, and put the crown upon him, and gave him the testimony; and they made him king, and anointed him; and they clapped their hands, and said, God save the king. 13: And when Athaliah heard the noise of the guard and of the people, she came to the people into the temple of the LORD. :14: And when she looked, behold, the king stood by a pillar, as the manner was, and the princes and the trumpeters by the king, and all the people of the land rejoiced, and blew with trumpets: and Athaliah rent her clothes, and cried, Treason, Treason.

In the text we read in 2Kg 11:1-20, see it in 2 Chr 22:10- end and 2 Chro 23:1-21

Athaliah was the mother of Ahaziah the king of Judah that was killed by Jehu the king of Israel.

Ahaziah had gone to Israel to go and greet the king of Israel who was wounded in a battle.

2Ki:9:15-16: But king Joram was returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him, when he fought with Hazael king of Syria.) And Jehu said, If it be your minds, then let none go forth nor escape out of the city to go to tell it in Jezreel.:16: So Jehu rode in a chariot, and went to Jezreel; for Joram lay there.  And Ahaziah king of Judah was come down to see Joram.

2Ki:9:27: But when Ahaziah the king of Judah saw this, he fled by the way of the garden house.  And Jehu followed after him, and said, Smite him also in the chariot.  And they did so at the going up to Gur, which is by Ibleam.  And he fled to Megiddo, and died there.

It was at the time when Jehu had been commissioned by God to carry out judgment over the house of Ahab. So it was in that process that Ahaziah king of Judah was slain. He was in the right place at the wrong time.

I pray for you; may you not be at the right place at the wrong time and may you not also be at the wrong place at the right time in Jesus name.

May God order your steps away from evil and calamity in Jesus name.

When Athaliah found out that her son was dead, she hijacked the throne, usurped the reign and took over the reign, she killed all the other sons of the king who would have reigned instead of the dead king.

There are many of us here that someone somewhere has taken what belongs to you legally or illegally. There are some people that what they ought to be enjoying had been taken by a powerful man or woman in their village, office or compound. But after this encounter things will change in Jesus name.

Whatever has usurped or taken over what belongs to you is releasing them now in Jesus name.

For six years Athaliah reigned over the land, she took control, but at the seventh year her end came.

I don’t know how long somebody here has been under the dominion of the problem you are, it could be sickness, lack, insufficiently, financial issues. I have come to announce to you that the end has come.

The Bible says surely there is an end, and your expectations shall not be cut off, I take liberty with that scripture, your problem expires today in Jesus name.

Proverb:23:18: For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.

Meanwhile while the woman was killing all the king’s sons, one particular child was rescued and taken away. He escaped being assassinated by Athaliah.

2Ki:11:2: But Jehosheba, the daughter of king Joram, sister of Ahaziah, took Joash the son of Ahaziah and stole him from among the king’s sons which were slain; and they hid him, even him and his nurse, in the bedchamber from Athaliah, so that he was not slain.

On the day of evil may find an escape in Jesus name. This boy was kept in the temple for seven years all through the time Athaliah was reigning over the land.

This boy was denied his due and entitlement. He was supposed to be king after the death of his father but the grandmother had taken over. It was a pathetic situation. What will now be the fate of Joash the king’s son? Something happened that changed the story. Your story is about to be changed to glory in Jesus name.

In the seventh year, a priest rose up, his name was Jehoiada, he decided that this evil must not continue, this is not what the word of God said.

I pray for you whoever will champion your case, whoever will speak for you, who will take over your case, the power of God is locating them now in Jesus name.

You know Joash the small boy that was rescued was been hidden in the Temple, he was destined to reign but his star was obscured by another woman

I pray for you every power hiding your glory, who will not allow you to shine, every power hiding or covering your destiny, I decree by the mandate of heaven that they perish from your life now in Jesus name.

I began to ask myself why Jehoiada risked his life to challenge the queen Athaliah?

I discovered that the man has read in the scripture certain facts:

2Ch 23:3 And all the congregation made a covenant with the king in the house of God. And he said unto them, Behold, the king’s son shall reign, as the LORD hath said of the sons of David.

He read in the scripture about the covenant God made with David. This is what motivated the priest to rise up on behalf of Joash the little king. He said the King’s son must reign as the Lord had decreed it.

What did the Lord said about David that Jehoiada wanted to enforce?

2Sam:7:13: He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever.

This means that David will always have people from his lineage to be king over Israel forever. This was done when David wanted to build a house for God for worship. God was so happy with David that He swore unto him that his sons will always reign.

2Ch:21:7: Howbeit the LORD would not destroy the house of David, because of the covenant that he had made with David, and as he promised to give a light to him and to his sons for ever.

Even when David children trespassed, God maintained His covenant

Psa 89:3-4: 3 I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant,  4 Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generation

Psa 89:28-29: 28 My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him. 29 His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.

All these scriptures and many others had been spoken concerning David. Jehoiada had read them and knew that no matter what the scripture must come to pass.

He also knew that what was taking place was illegal. It must be challenged legitimately.

Finally, because God is a covenant keeping God, he raised a helper and deliverer for Joash.

God shall raise helpers for you in Jesus name.

What would have happened if Jehoiada had not risen?

  1. If he had not done that the plan and purpose of God would have been disrupted,
  2. Messiah wouldn’t have come from the tribe of Judah more or less from the house of David.
  3. It would have seemed that God doesn’t keep His word

God raises somebody to defend his purpose.

I don’t know God purpose for your life but in the name of Jehovah you will fulfill your destiny in Jesus name

You know Jehoiada could have kept quiet, folded his arms, put up a nonchalant attitude towards what was happening in the country after all Athaliah didn’t take over the priesthood so why bother but God used him on behalf of helpless Joash.

Such one is manifesting in your lives now. People like that are available everywhere. They called them champions of destiny or destiny helpers. They have a mission to make sure that God’s purpose is fulfilled no matter what. Wherever they may be, God shall bring them out for you in Jesus name.

How do you receive their ministry?

  1. You must be prepared for your destiny. Where preparation meets anointing, then miracles take place. Be ready to take what belongs to you. The kingdom suffereth violence.

Mat:11:12: And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

Many of the children of God are very passive concerning the things that concern them. They want someone to do their prayer and bible reading for them. No, arise, as you arise, God will move on your behalf.

  1. You must know what is written concerning you. It is when you know it that you can enforce it. What has the Bible said about you? What are the promises of God you believed in? The Bible has this to say about the Lord Jesus. He came to fulfill all that was written concerning Him.

Heb:10:7: Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

Psalms:40:7: Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,

  1. You must be patient. It took seven years before what God had said came to pass in the life of Joash. He was in the temple night and day hoping and believing and one day, his dream came to pass. Your dream is coming to pass in Jesus name.

Heb:6:12: That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Heb:10:36: For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

  1. You must enforce what is written. Under the New Covenant many wonderful promises are there for us. We have a better covenant established on better promises. Many children of God are suffering because they don’t know what the scriptures say about their health, finances, marriage and work. Many that claim to know them are not enforcing them enough. Many also give up too quickly, they don’t know how to resist the devil and endure. They think that the promises are automatic. The things of God do not automatically come to pass in a man’s life. Life will not give you what you deserve but what you demand from it.

This is the reason why you must avail yourself of the need to come to Bible study and prayer meetings at all cost. You can’t learn much on Sundays. The word of God has been given to us a map, compass and user manual for this life.

Determine to enforce the scripture by prayers, fasting, declaration and confession of the promises. They shall find expression in your life.

When you read the account to the end, Athaliah was dethroned and Joash was enthroned in fulfillment of the word of God. What God said prevailed.

Whoever is presently occupying your rightful position or place shall vacate the place by fire in Jesus name. You are taking over; you will possess your possession in Jesus name.

I decree and declare over you that whatever has been hijacked, took away from you shall be recovered by fire in Jesus name. That power shall restore what belongs to you in Jesus name. Every spiritual, financial, marital blessings that the enemy has confiscated shall be released in a hurry in Jesus name.

PRAYERS

  • Every hijacker of my blessings I command you to release them now in Jesus name.
  • Every power that has taken what belongs to me legally or illegally releases them now in Jesus name.
  • Every destiny helper allocated and assigned to me manifests now in Jesus name.
  • Whatever is frustrating my helpers, depart from them now in Jesus name.
  • I receive all the good things that are due me this year in Jesus name.
