REPOSITIONING YOURSELF FOR A NOTABLE MIRACLE

HOW TO RECEIVE A NOTABLE MIRACLE – PART 2

RE-POSITIONING YOURSELF FOR NOTABLE MIRACLES

Luk 19:1-10 KJV 1 And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho. 2 And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich. 3 And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature. 4 And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way. 5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house. 6 And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully. 7 And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner. 8 And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold. 9 And Jesus said unto him,  This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham. 10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

The word position means a place or location.

Reposition is an act of putting something or a person into a new position, place or location.

repositioning is an act by which something is repositioned.

Spiritual Repositioning means moving from where you are to where God wants you to be.

Zacchaeus was the chief among the publicans; the head of them in that place, to whom the rest brought the tax, tribute, or toll; he was the receiver general of the tax: at the toll booths, at bridges, for people’s going over the water

In the text we read Zacchaeus  sought to see Jesus which was a very good thing. He had heard about Jesus and wanted to see who that person was, what sort of person he was, or how he appeared. and how he looked. It was his desire. He had that desire. I don’t know your Godly desire but in the name of Jesus it is coming to pass in Jesus name.

As our faces are different, so are our desires, some desire cars, houses, husband, marriage, peace, money, healing and other things that pertain to life and godliness. Every Godly desire shall receive divine visitation in Jesus name.

One very important thing to note in the account was that even though Zacchaeus had desire he did not just wait rather he did something about his desire. It is not enough to have a desire but we must step out to realize our desire in life. This is the number one lesson for everyone.

In the quest of fulfilling his desire there were two obstacles.

In life there will always be obstacles to greater heights and desire but in the name of Jesus you are an overcomer in Jesus name. I don’t know the obstacle on your way now, it shall turn to stepping stone to greater heights in Jesus name. Joseph said you meant it for evil but God turned into good. Whatever the devil has meant for evil shall turn to miracles for you in Jesus name.

The number one obstacle was that there were many people who were with Jesus thus preventing easy access to Jesus.

Secondly Zacchaeus was height challenged. That is a polite way of saying somebody was short, he was of little stature and because of his stature he could not see Jesus.

What did Zacchaeus do? Did he abandon his desire? Did he postpone it till some other time when it will be convenient?

If some of us were to be in the shoes of Zacchaeus, we would have said maybe I will see him some other time or just call it off. So many people give up on their goal easily. They give up on their desire. If they put in or made effort small and it did not come their way, they just abandon the whole thing. Not Zacchaeus. See what he did in the account.

The Bible tells us that when Zacchaeus realized that if he continued to stay in that place he will not be able to see Jesus, he also knew there was no point struggling through the crowd because many Jews hated the publicans and if they see him they may even blocked him, he ran ahead and not only he climbed the Sycamore tree believing that Jesus would pass along that side.

Because Zacchaeus wanted to see Jesus so badly, he didn’t mind doing something that many thought was beneath the dignity of a grown, wealthy man – he climbed up a sycamore tree. It was very ridiculous for a rich man.

Forgetful of his rank and quality. Rich men and rulers used not to run, much less to climb trees, as boys do for birds’ nests. But his earnest desire caused him to do the unimaginable.

How many of us are ready to do something desperate, something uncommon and unusual because of our desire? Until you are ready to do the ridiculous; your faith is still elementary. Most people will claim they have faith but no action. James said faith without work is dead.

Notice how he turns his disadvantages to such a good account. He climbs up into a tree, and then he sees over everybody’s head. What would have been a shortcoming became an advantage now. Hello ma, turn your seemingly disadvantage to advantage. It was the overcoming of the disadvantages that was the beginning of their greatness.

Now, there are many ways that Jesus could have gone to Jerusalem without going through Jericho. I think that He went through Jericho just because He knew there was this man there whose heart was yearning for God. I think He made a detour in order to meet Zacchaeus.

While he was looking for Jesus, Jesus was equally looking for him. After this encounter whatever you are looking for will start looking for you in Jesus name.

Here is the good news, when Jesus got to the exact place where Zacchaeus was, nobody told Jesus but He suddenly stopped and called out to him. Who told Jesus somebody was on the tree? Who told Jesus the man’s name? How come Jesus knew what he was looking for?

There is something about longing and desire of heart that attracts miracles to you. There is something about longing that attracts heaven’s attention to a man. All Zacchaeus wanted was just to see Jesus but he got more than that. He got a miracle.

What was the secret behind this encounter? Zacchaeus was at the right place at the right time.

Ecc 9:11 KJV I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.

Ecclesiastes 9:11

[NLT]I have observed something else under the sun. The fastest runner doesn’t always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn’t always win the battle. The wise sometimes go hungry, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don’t always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time.

Zacchaeus was at the right place at the right time. May you be at the right place. May you be at the place where a miracle will meet you.

The lesson here is that Zacchaeus did not allow excuses to hinder him from achieving his heart desire.

Ladies and gentlemen there will always be one reason and legitimate reason why you can’t accomplish your goal but if you reposition yourself like Zacchaeus you will realize your heart desire in Jesus name.

That very day Jesus lodged in his house and he received there the greatest miracle which is the miracle of salvation. May you receive yours in Jesus name.

ANOTHER CASE STUDY OF REPOSITIONING

According to synoptics she has lost her savings on medical treatment and she was no better. But having heard of Jesus like Zacchaeus decided to do something.

Mat 9:20 KJV And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:

The woman with 12 years issues of blood defiled abuse, reproach and the law of Leviticus that prohibit such a person from coming outside.

Lev 15:25 KJV And if a woman have an issue of her blood many days out of the time of her separation, or if it run beyond the time of her separation; all the days of the issue of her uncleanness shall be as the days of her separation: she shall be unclean.

But there are some people who because of one reason or the other they will not change their location.

Joh 5:1-7 KJV 1 After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches. 3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. 4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had. 5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. 6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? 7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.

The man had stayed there for thirty eight years so he knew the protocol of the pool. He knew that an angel did come and trouble the water and whosoever first jumped inside will be made whole. So come he was never made whole all the while? Here is a lesson why some folks stay too long in a problem of life.

We agree that he could not walk because he was looking for people that would put him inside the pool. But others were there for their own issues. Sometimes in life we look for help from other people who need help too. We feel they should be able to help us and we put the blame on them. Everyone has their own challenge.

It is not that he could not move at all because from his words he said when I am coming another step in.

Here is my submission, why didn’t he stay at the pool side waiting for the angel? Because he refused to make any attempt while waiting for people, he remained there for 38 years. Every yoke stagnation be broken from our lives in Jesus name.

HOW TO RE-POSITION OURSELVES

1. Renew your mind to think differently.

Rom 12:2 KJV And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

The way to get transformation is simply by renewal of mind. The word transformation is metamorphosis in Greek. The transformation of a caterpillar into a butterfly or a tadpole into a frog

It is a process where the caterpillar becomes a flying insect. The outward character of a man’s life is directly related to the content of his heart. Prov 23: 7 as a man thinks in his heart so is he. Our lives will follow the way of our dominant thought.

Study the word, read anointed books, you can’t be greater than what you don’t know. Even faith is directly related to knowledge. Don’t be satisfied with what you know. Improve, relearn, unlearn and learn.

2, Do things differently- change strategy

Jesus did not do the same miracle the same way. Take for instance in opening the eyes of the blind, at a time he spoke, other times he spat on clay.

We cannot continue to do the same thing in the same way and expect a different result, they said it is the peak of insanity. But do attempt to do it differently without fear of failure and mistakes.

3. Seek counsel from professional

Pro 24:6 KJV For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.

There is nothing anyone is trying to do or become that there is no one that has not done it before. Seek allos.

4. Improve on your skills

Pro 24:3-4 KJV 3 Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established: 4 And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.

AMP:Through skillful and godly Wisdom is a house (a life, a home, a family) built, and by understanding it is established [on a sound and good foundation],

Even Jesus is a master strategist. Maybe you need to acquire more skills, further your education, learn new ways of doing things and not still follow the 19th century approach. Google is your friend.

5. Take the step of faith

Life is a risk and it’s risky not to take steps of faith. it locked up potential and destroyed effectiveness. Dare yourself. Do something out of the box, if you cannot run, walk, if you cannot walk then crawl just move.

An object at rest remains at rest, and an object in motion remains in motion at constant speed and in a straight line unless acted on by an unbalanced force.

Newton’s 1st law states that a body at rest or uniform motion will continue to be at rest or uniform motion until and unless a net external force acts on it.

CONCLUSION

Everyone that received a major miracle made a shift and repositioned themselves.

PRAYERS

Whatever is standing between me and my notable miracles becomes leveled now in Jesus name. Let every barrier and obstacle be removed by fire in Jesus name.

Whatever is holding me back from my miracle or holding my miracle from me be paralyzed in Jesus name.

In the name of Jesus I prophesy I received my notable miracle this day, this hour, this week, this month in Jesus name.
