RECEIVING ALL – ROUND PERFECTION AND COMPLETENESS

RECEIVING ALL ROUND PERFECTION AND COMPLETENESS

There is this popular prayer in the Bible which was said by the Apostle paul.

Phi 4:19 KJV But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Paul made this statement in response to the good gestures of the church of Phillip.

Many people make the prayers but so many times there is no result for it. Why is that so? Why is it that it seems that God is not supplying ALL the needs of such people? Is this statement still valid under grace teachings?

When we study the previous chapters and the present one, we will discover the reason why Paul made the prayers for them and what those people did to merit the prayers.

Phi 4:15-18 KJV 15 Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only. 16 For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity. 17 Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. 18 But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.

The Church at Phillip supplied the need of Paul while he was in the prison and no church did that to him. Also when they could not get across to him according to verse 18, they sent Epaphroditus to him.

So Paul appreciated them and sent them prayers.

The lesson here is that when we meet the needs of other people, especially men of God and men of God with anointing whose ministration has blessed us, our needs are met.

Many of us want that blessing but we don’t do what is required of us. As we study the bible, we find out that this is the pattern of receiving blessings.

CASE STUDY 1

Elijah had predicted famine over Israel. The famine was in the land so he moved the brook of Cherith. While he was there Raven was bringing meat and cake for him morning and afternoon.

I pray for you that God will use strange things to meet your needs in Jesus’ name. This went on till the brook dried up because of lack of rain.

I pray again for you, the source of your provision will not run dry in Jesus name.

So God asked him to go to Zarephath.

1Ki 17:10-16 KJV 10 So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink. 11 And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand. 12 And she said, As the LORD thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die. 13 And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son. 14 For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth. 15 And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days. 16 And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Elijah.

When he got there, he met a widow woman who had a son that was arranging wood to cook their last meal because there was no more food in town and in their house. There was no hope of getting food anywhere.

When Elijah asked for water, the woman obliged but when Elijah asked for food, the woman protested that all she had was a little flour for the last meal.

This is the same woman that God told Elijah that He had prepared to sustain him and here she was protesting. We need to pray for our destiny helpers that God will continue to touch their hearts. May they not reject to fulfill their ministry to you in Jesus name.

Elijah told the woman not to be afraid but do as she was instructed. You see, obedience is vital to our breakthrough in life. if we were the woman, we would have doubted and refused to do it. but she did it by faith even though she had not met Elijah in person before.

May God give you an obedient heart of faith in Jesus’ name.

When the woman met the need of the man of God first even though she and her son had need, something great happened to her.

1Ki 17:15-16 KJV 15 And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days. 16 And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Elijah.

Her pot never dried again and the oil didn’t finish. They miraculously replenished each time she took from them. I pray for you, may your source never run out in Jesus name. She had all round perfection and completeness. While others in town were in need and lack, she and her household had more than enough that lasted all through the famine period.

That same God will supply your own needs in Jesus’ name.

CASE STUDY 2

Elisha took over from Elijah and waves of miracles continued. it shall continue in your life in Jesus name.

There was a time that he passed through a city and out of all the women in that city, a particular woman took notice of him and decided to do something.

2Ki 4:8 KJV And it fell on a day, that Elisha passed to Shunem, where was a great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. And so it was, that as oft as he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread.

People that will take note of you and supply your needs, may God bring them across your path in Jesus name. Many people saw us and passed by but this woman decided to help the man of God. She even discussed the matter with her husband.

2Ki 4:9-10 KJV 9 And she said unto her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this is an holy man of God, which passeth by us continually. 10 Let us make a little chamber, I pray thee, on the wall; and let us set for him there a bed, and a table, and a stool, and a candlestick: and it shall be, when he cometh to us, that he shall turn in thither.

They went further not only to provide food but accommodation for the man of God. Your helpers in life shall show forth in Jesus name. helpers that will provide not only food but everything that will make life comfortable for you shall rise up for you in Jesus name. We are talking about all round perfection and completeness.

Just like Paul, Elisha wanted to reciprocate the good gesture of this woman, so he sent for her and asked what can be done for her or how she could be helped. I was shocked by the woman’s answer.

2Ki 4:13 KJV And he said unto him, Say now unto her, Behold, thou hast been careful for us with all this care; what is to be done for thee? wouldest thou be spoken for to the king, or to the captain of the host? And she answered, I dwell among mine own people.

She said she didn’t need anything. Remember how she was introduced to us in verse 8 that she was a great woman. She was not just a fat woman but a woman of substance, she was married, had plenty of money and goods, in fact she lacked virtually nothing as far she is concerned. She was content.

I pray for all our women that God will make them great in Jesus name.

However, there was something missing in the life of the woman that would have made her to be a person of all round completeness and perfection. Gehazi informed Elisha of that need.

2Ki 4:14 KJV And he said, What then is to be done for her? And Gehazi answered, Verily she hath no child, and her husband is old.

Oh wao. her husband is old, she too could be old, little wonder that she said she needed nothing. She must have tried and tried to have a child and without results and to have given up hope. She must have experienced promises that failed and she had been disappointed several times.

May that yoke of failure and disappointment be broken in Jesus name. May your hope not be lost in Jesus’ name.

Even when Elisha gave her prophecy she was initially unperturbed because of broken expectations, but God of Elisha answered her. Here is her testimony.

2Ki 4:17 KJV And the woman conceived, and bare a son at that season that Elisha had said unto her, according to the time of life.

She eventually had her miracle. She was not the person of all round perfection and completeness. What she lacked was adequately supplied at the right time.

I may not know that thing or that very thing that is of concern to you. That thing that you feel if i can have this thing it will make me too to have all round perfection and completeness, may god of this commission supply your need in Jesus name. Every area of lack shall be met in Jesus name.

What must we do?

  1. Have it in mind to look for people to help and assisted
  2. Tap into the anointing of the men of God by finding out what they need
  3. minister to them not doubting
  4. Receive their ministration in faith

In conclusion, At some point the man of God is your prophet, the speaker, preacher, Sunday school teacher or bible study teacher could be your prophets. This is what Bible says we should do to them:

2Ch 20:20 KJV And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

I pray the same prayer of faith Paul prays for the Philippians: Our God shall supply your need according to His riches in glory in Jesus name.
