COVENANT DAY OF SEPARATION AND EXEMPTION
Separation is an act of disuniting two or more things, or the condition of being separated
To exempt means To grant (someone) freedom or immunity from.
In our nation, when a student or a graduate is above 30years old, he is exempted from national youth service.
Exemption: is The act of excepting or excluding; exclusion; restriction by taking out something which would otherwise be included, as in a class, statement, rule.
That which is excepted or taken out from others; a person, thing, or case, specified as distinct, or not included
That rule is usually true, but there are a few exceptions.
(legal) An objection, on legal grounds; also, as in conveyancing, a clause by which the grantor excepts or reserves something before the right is transferred.
At the beginning of any new year there are spells, incantations, oaths, and evil words that have been spoken or invoked into the atmosphere in the spirit realm. These are meant to cause problems, marital difficulty, untimely death, evil arrows flying up and down, calamity, accidents, stray bullets, kidnapping, hire assassins and many evils.
I am not a prophet of doom but the fact is that in any year, these things will happen whether will like it or not and the reasons are many such as:
- We live in a fallen world. This world we are living in now is not what God intended.
- Satan is prince of the world system and go about with mission of to steal, kill and destroy John 10:10
- The hearts of men, especially unregenerate men, are desperately wicked. Many have sold their heart unto the devil to do wicked.
- There are natural things that happen because the ecosystem has been disrupted or they just happen naturally.
- there are people that we are close with they may be receiving their retribution for their sin and disobedience like Jonah inside boat going to Tarshish Jon 1
What is the fate of a child of God in all these? Are we to suffer the same fate with them? Are we to partake of the naturally occuring evils that will be taking place?
In order not to be a victim of such things we organized prayer meetings to separate ourselves out.
In the Bible we have the good news. Here is what the psalmist says:
Psalm 91:7 KJV A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
If the psalmist had stopped when he said a thousand shall fall at thy side and ten thousand at thy right hand, then we would be living in anxiety because the probability of whatever is making thousands to fall not getting to us will be very slim.. However, he did not stop there. He said “but it shall not come nigh thee” The word shall is a legal and judicial word. In other words, it may and will happen to people but it will not come near you.
This is what I refer to as the law of exemption. Exemption does not mean it is not happening. it is happening but somehow by divine providence, it did not happen to you.
Case studies in the Bible:
When God brought plaque and destruction on Egypt, the children of Israel living close by were exempted and separated.
Swarm of flies
Exo 8:21-24 KJV 21 Else, if thou wilt not let my people go, behold, I will send swarms of flies upon thee, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thy houses: and the houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground whereon they are. 22 And I will sever on that day the land of Goshen, in which my people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there; to the end thou mayest know that I am the LORD in the midst of the earth. 23 And I will put a division between my people and thy people: tomorrow shall this sign be. 24 And the LORD did so; and there came a grievous swarm of flies into the house of Pharaoh, and into his servants’ houses, and into all the land of Egypt: the land was corrupted by reason of the swarm of flies.
The death of cattle
Exo 9:3-6 KJV 3 Behold, the hand of the LORD is upon thy cattle which is in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: there shall be a very grievous murrain. 4 And the LORD shall sever between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt: and there shall nothing die of all that is the children’s of Israel. 5 And the LORD appointed a set time, saying, “Tomorrow the LORD shall do this thing in the land. 6 And the LORD did that thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt died: but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.
The hail
Exo 9:25-26 KJV 25 And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and broke every tree of the field. 26 Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.
Darkness over the land
Exo 10:21-23 KJV 21 And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt. 22 And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days: 23 They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.
Whereever there is darkness the LOrd will give you light.
Isa 60:1-2 KJV 1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. 2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
The death of first born
Exo 11:5-7 KJV 5 And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts. 6 And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more. 7 But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the LORD doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.
Did it happen and how was God able to do that? I will tell you.
CASE STUDY 2: FREEDOM FROM TAX AND TRIBUTES
One of the priviledges that will be enjoyed by whosoever killed Goliath was exemption from tax payments.
1Sam 17:25 KJV And the men of Israel said, Have ye seen this man that is come up? surely to defy Israel is he come up: and it shall be, that the man who killeth him, the king will enrich him with great riches, and will give him his daughter, and make his father’s house free in Israel.
His family should be exempted from the impositions and services to which the general body of the Israelites were subjected. Here it may imply a freedom from all such services and burdens as are spoken of in 1Sa 8:11-17.
CASE STUDY 3: EZEKIEL & ISRAELITES
God wanted to punish the iniquity of the land and so in order not to destroy the people who were praying and interceeding for the land with the evil people, God asked an angel to put mark on those people and anyone without mark should be killed.
Eze 9:4 KJV And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.
The avenger of the city was going around to slay people that were not marked but when he got to where Ezekiel was, he left and moved to other people.
Eze 9:7-8 KJV 7 And he said unto them, Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain: go ye forth. And they went forth, and slew in the city. 8 And it came to pass, while they were slaying them, and I was left, that I fell upon my face, and cried, and said, Ah Lord GOD! will thou destroy all the residue of Israel in thy pouring out of thy fury upon Jerusalem?
“and i was left” That is the law of exemption at work. When they are destroying lives you shall be exempted in Jesus name.
UNDER THE NEW COVENANT
As a child of God under the New Testament we can be exempted from such happenings by the law of exemption.
Gal 1:4 KJV Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:
Sin brought all the evils in this world and world system but Jesus gave himself for our sins so that we can be delivered from the penalty, judgment and punishment due to sin.
Mat 20:28 KJV Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
Jesus gave Himself a ransom or a payment for us to redeem us. The last plague in Egypt did not affect the land of Goshen because God had instructed them to put the blood of a young lamb on the door so that when the angel of the destroyer goes around, when he sees the blood he will pass over. They did that, took the lamb and kept it for seven days and laid the lamb and put its blood on the lintel and side post thereby forming the CROSS. This is the second prophecy of the cross of Jesus bringing salvation.
What is our role?
The children of Israel did as they were instructed. Ex 12: 3-7
Exo 12:7 KJV And they shall take off the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.
Advantage of the law of exemption
Psa 37:23 KJV The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
Because you are not meant to partake in evil, He will order your step away from such places. The children of Israel did the following:
- They believed the word
- They acted on it
- They fellowshipped with the lamb
- Then sprinkle the blood as instructed.
in order words, they invoked the blood in the name of the Lord. When we invoke the blood, we declare that we are covered with the blood and so we are exempted.
You must say it
Psa 107:2 KJV Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
Psa 91:2 KJV I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
The activation of the promise is in verse 2 where he says, i will say of the Lord. Say who the Lord is to you and He will respond to that.
Job says when they say there is casting down; you will say there is lifting up.
Job 22:29 KJV When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.
Rom 10:9 KJV That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
The word saved is “sozo” in Greek and it means: to save, keep safe and sound, to rescue from danger or destruction one (from injury or peril), to save a suffering one (from perishing), i.e. one suffering from disease, to make well, heal, restore to health. To preserve one who is in danger of destruction, to save or rescue. To save in the technical biblical sense
negatively. To deliver from the penalties of the Messianic judgment
to save from the evils which obstruct the reception of the Messianic deliverance. In summary, to save, that is, deliver or protect (literally or figuratively): – heal, preserve, save (self), do well, be (make) hole.(Thayer)
Promises of exemptions
Job 5:19-21 KJV 19 He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee. 20 In famine he shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword. 21 Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue: neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh.
Psa 33:19 KJV To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
Exo 15:26 KJV And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.
Psa 5:12 KJV For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favor wilt thou compass him as with a shield.
Psa 84:11 KJV For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
Psa 18:2 KJV The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
Pro 18:10 KJV The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.
My testimony
There was to be downturn in my place of work and rumors were going that they will drop some people. I was not afraid but was concerned. So I sent a text message to someone and the person said “you shall not be among them”. When the person said that i was encouraged and my faith rose, i started declaring the word of psalm 91; it shall not come near thee and truly when it happened, i was in town and people were calling me asking if i have heard what happened. Bible says only with your eyes shall ye behold the reward of the wicked. Daniel says they that know thair God shall be strong and shall do exploit.
Prayers:
I am the redeemed of the Lord, therefore I am exempted from evil, calamity, destruction, court cases, police issue, joblessness, sickness, disease, untimely death, accidents, poverty, lack and insufficiency.
I pray psalm 91: 7-8, no evil shall come near my dwelling place.Thou shall decree a thing and it shall be established unto you. In the year 2022, i shall not be afflicted, i will not disadvantaged, i will not be a victim of ritualist, kidnappers and hire asasins in Jesus name.
Every attachment and connection with evils of 2022 be broken by fire from my life
God said i will sever my people from your people. i sever myself from them all. I separate myself from negative happenings in Jesus name
