Until This Is Done…..

UNTIL THIS IS DONE!
Until certain this are done, there are many of us that may not accomplish our God given goals and desire. Before you can plant your crops or grains the weed and grass must be rooted out, cleared off then and then we can plant the good seed. The ground needs to be tilled and cultivated otherwise the weed will choke the good plant. In Gen 2:5, rain did not fall because there was no man to till the soil. The mist that comes was just a temporary measure. What was needed was rain.

Jdg 2:1-3 KJV 1 And an angel of the LORD came up from Gilgal to Bochim, and said, I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the land which I sware unto your fathers; and I said, I will never break my covenant with you. 2 And ye shall make no league with the inhabitants of this land; ye shall throw down their altars: but ye have not obeyed my voice: why have ye done this? 3 Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you.

This passage talked about the children of Israel’s disobedient to follow God’s instruction on the way they should deal with the inhabitants of the land they were to occupied. Before Moses died, he gave them the strict instructions on what to do to those people and except it is done they will not enjoy the land.

Deu 7:2 KJV And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:

He said the same in another place:

Deu 12:3 KJV And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place.

The children of Israel rather choose to mingle with the people, learnt their culture and had inter marriage relationship with them. This was the reason why the angel of God came down and rebuked them and told them the consequence of their actions. Those people they left will be thorns to them and the gods of the land will be snare unto them.

In life there are certain things that must be done in order for you to enjoy your own promised land, marriage, jobs, and have your peace. There are battles to be fought once and for all for you to have a lasting peace of mind. There are things that need to be upset, rearranged, disordered and scattered before you can have an arranged, orderly and peaceful home and life.
Many Christian are passive in this line of reasoning and most of the time leaves things to chance. But a good look at the Bible shows that people dealt with their situation, circumstances and challenges before things turned around for them.

Different case studies

JOSHUA AND ACHAN

Jos 7:10-12 KJV 10 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Get thee up; wherefore liest thou thus upon thy face? 11 Israel hath sinned, and they have also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff. 12 Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they were accursed: neither will I be with you any more, except ye destroy the accursed from among you.

God actually told them in verse 12B that except they destroy the accursed from among them they cannot have victory and possessed the land given to them. This was the response to the bitter prayers of Joshua who was trying to blackmail God with sentimental talk. One man sin had robbed Israel the needed victory and even though the inhabitants of AI were few yet those people defeated God’s people. The reason was Achan the troubler of Israel. It was Achan was apprehended and stoned to death with all his family then the children of Israel were able to have victory one more time.
It could be that in one way or the other you might have defiled your hand in sin an iniquity, why don’t you repent. Under the new Covenant, you won’t be sone to death because Jesus has paid for our sin and all you need do is to acknowledge your wrong and confess them 1Jn 1: 9. Then and then peace can come and reign in your life.

Act 3:19 KJV Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

DAVID AND THE JEBUSITES

1Ch 11:4-5 KJV 4 And David and all Israel went to Jerusalem, which is Jebus; where the Jebusites were, the inhabitants of the land. 5 And the inhabitants of Jebus said to David, Thou shalt not come hither. Nevertheless David took the castle of Zion, which is the city of David.

They actually dared David to come to their city not minding that this same David was the one that killed Goliath and had mighty men of valour about six hundred warriors. They told him that he cannot dare it. It will only be possible if he can remove the blind and the lame. What an insult to David the man of war. I wanted to know what was their confidence that made them to think that Jerusalem was impregnable.

Psa 125:2 KJV As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.

From that Psalm, we could see that Jerusalem was a well fortified city situated in the midst of mountain. It is surrounded by mountains in such a way that nobody will be able to easily enter into the place.
David made it a challenge to his men that whosoever will go there first will be the captain. Joab went there and became the captain and army general.

2Sa 5:8 KJV And David said on that day, Whosoever getteth up to the gutter, and smiteth the Jebusites, and the lame and the blind, that are hated of David’s soul, he shall be chief and captain. Wherefore they said, The blind and the lame shall not come into the house.

David made Jebusites his headquarter after that incident. Who are the Jebus in your own life that are threatening that you cannot achieve a certain height or feat unless so and so is done. Go ahead and do it, remove the obstacles and hindrance and start to reign.

Attaliah and the children of Judah

2Chr 23:21 KJV And all the people of the land rejoiced: and the city was quiet, after that they had slain Athaliah with the sword.

To really understand the above passage it will be nice to read the whole chapter before and this very one. Athaliah had usurped the kingship after she found out that her son Ahaziah king of Judah was killed when the same Ahaziah went with Jehoram king of Israel to battle at Ramothgilead. They were coming and met Jehu who had been commissioned by God through Elisha the prophet to destroyed the whole house of Ahab king of Israel. He was wounded and killed in that encounter with Jehu. Athaliah rather than allow Ahaziah’s son to reign rather took over and became the ruler of the land for seven years. She killed all the king’s sons except Joash who was rescued by her sister and kept in the custody of Jehoiada in the temple for seven years while Athaliah ruled. But after seven years, Jehoiada the priest championed the restoration of David’s dynasty that David must always have a son to reign after him according to the word of the Lord. It was in that process that Athaliah was killed. The consequence is what we read in that passage. The city was quiet and people rejoiced after the evil woman was killed.
Proverb says when the righteous reign the people rejoiced. That was exactly what happened. There are many of us that the devil has stolen what belong to us and until it is restored, we may not experience joy. I pray for you every Athaliah occupying your seat shall die by fire in Jesus name.
God raised and used Jehoiada to protect and restored Joash to his father’s throne, i pray for you that people that will champion your cause may them be raise today in Jesus name.

Until Athaliah was removed, Joash even though he was the king’s son and of the lineage of David and was the heir, yet he could not reign. What ever is banning you from occupying your rightful place is removed by fire now in Jesus name.

JONAH

Jon 1:15 KJV So they took up Jonah, and cast him forth into the sea: and the sea ceased from her raging.

Jonah was commissioned by God to go and preach to the people of Nineveh but due to some reasons best known to Jonah he decided to escape to another place so he boarded a ship going to Tarshish. While in the boat believing that he has escaped from God, God sent storm on the sea and the boat was almost capsizing. The captains and the mariners were shocked and while they casted lot, it fell on Jonah. Jonah was the cause of their trouble.

There are many people that travels today and have in their vehicle, boat, aeroplane somebody that has the sentence of death. Such people are usually the cause of what you read in the newspaper about plane crash, boat mishap and vehicle accidents most of the time. Can i pray for you, every Jonah assigned to bring misfortune for your journey shall not embark on that journey with you in Jesus name.
When the mariners knew that Jonah was the cause of their trouble they wanted to know what to do to him so he told them they should do the unimaginable:

Jon 1:11-12 KJV 11 Then said they unto him, What shall we do unto thee, that the sea may be calm unto us? for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous. 12 And he said unto them, Take me up, and cast me forth into the sea; so shall the sea be calm unto you: for I know that for my sake this great tempest is upon you.

That will be murder! The Bible says the mariner could not bring themselves to throw somebody into the sea, so they continue to struggle to get the boat in shape. But the more they struggle, the more the boat was sinking.

Jon 1:13 KJV Nevertheless the men rowed hard to bring it to the land; but they could not: for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous against them.

There are many Christian today, they know the solution to their problem just like the mariners, Jonah had told them unless you throw me into the sea this journey cannot continue, many people struggle and struggle postponing the days of their liberty. May you receive insight to understand the operation of the spirit in Jesus name.
When you read the story down, it was when they threw Jonah into the sea that they had relief.

Jon 1:15 KJV So they took up Jonah, and cast him forth into the sea: and the sea ceased from her raging.

I pray for you that the courage to do the unimaginable and the unthinkable in order to have peace, may it come on you in Jesus name.

ISAIAH AND UZZIAH

Isa 6:1 KJV In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.

This statement is loaded. What has the death of Uzziah has to do with Isaiah receiving the revelation? So many at times in life, our close companion have great influence on our lives. They could mar or make our destinies in life. Isaiah though been a prophet was a close associate of Uzziah. Uzziah started very well in the Lord and became very rich and popular but here is what the bible has to say about him:

2Ch 26:16 KJV But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction: for he transgressed against the LORD his God, and went into the temple of the LORD to burn incense upon the altar of incense.

Pride they say precedes fall. His heart was lifted up in him and decided to offer sacrifice in the temple which was not the rightful tings to do since he was not the priest but king. This was the man that Isaiah was in close intimate relationship with. Paul the apostle had warned that evil communication corrupt good manners. It had effect on Isaiah ministry and vision. But the very year Uzziah died, he began to receive heavenly revelations. Praise God.

LOT AND ABRAHAM
Whom you relate with matters a lot. As long as Lot was with Abraham, God did not communicate with him. Lot actually means “covering”. There was a gap of many years before God started talking with Abraham again.
God actually did not call Lot but Abraham only and we don’t know all the reasons why Abraham decided to bring Lot along the journey. But Lot was a source of concern to Abraham, the herdsmen of both were always clashing and in order to avoid trouble Abraham proposed a separation which Lot gladly picked.

Gen 13:14 KJV And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:

May be you need to identify the LOT in your life and have a clean break in order for you to start hearing God’s voice loud and clear again. Your LOT may be sin, immorality, unbelief and so many ungodly things that can becloud your mind from being quiet and peaceful in receiving from God.
In the New Testament, the early church was much troubled by Saul who went about persecuting the church, arresting the people and injuring the course of the Lord. This continue until he had a life changing experience with the Lord on his way to Damascus.

Act 9:3-5 KJV 3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: 4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutes thou me? 5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutes: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

Can i pray for you that this will be the good portion of your troubler in Jesus name. They shall be arrested by he power of God. After this encounter Saul life changed, he began to champion the faith he was bent on destroying and became a preacher. Something happened to the church when this happened:

Act 9:31 KJV Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.

The church had rest from immediate persecution, destruction of lives and properties because he who used to cause havoc in the time past is now a member.
Until your own Saul is brought to the gospel and arrested by the power of God you may not enjoy your peace.

In conclusion, there are things that must be settled before you are settled. The Lord Jesus gave us power over every demons and devils so whatever is disturbing your marriage, career, peace of mind and ministry you have the authority to deal with it. Sickness is an hindrance to fulfilling God’s blessings upon your life and until you are healed you may not be able to get a good job and be a blessing to yourself and this generation. Receive your healing now for by His stripe you are healed. Don’t live with sickness.
You are made for more and so don’t you allow poverty and economic recession to stop you. 2Cor 8: 9 He became poor so that through His poverty you can be made rich not only spiritually but physically too. Receive your breakthrough now in Jesus name.
