COMMANDING FREEDOM FOR THEM

Command freedom for them

God delights in our freedom. Even the freedom of all that belongs to us including our animals. One of the compromises Pharaoh offered Moses was to let their flocks remain in captivity while the people go. But Moses rejected the offer

Exo 10:24 KJV And Pharaoh called unto Moses, and said, Go ye, serve the LORD; only let your flocks and your herds be stayed: let your little ones also go with you.

Exo 10:26 KJV Our cattle also shall go with us; there shall not an hoof be left behind; for thereof must we take to serve the LORD our God; and we know not with what we must serve the LORD, until we come thither.

We proclaim freedom to everything that belongs to you in Jesus name.

Mar 11:1-6 KJV 1 And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples, 2 And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him. 3 And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither. 4 And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him. 5 And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the colt? 6 And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go.

The Lord sent two disciples to a village in order to loose a colt tied at the junction. He anticipated that they may face challenges and opposition, so He told them what they would say in case anyone challenged them.

It happened exactly He described it. They saw the colt tied and as they were untying them, some people came out to challenge them but they answered the way they were instructed.

Luke tells us what transpired when they were about loosening the colt:

Luk 19:33-34 KJV 33 And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose ye the colt? 34 And they said, The Lord hath need of him.

This is what they call verbatim or word for word. They answered exactly the way the Lord instructed them. The reason is even angels hearken to the voice of His words PS 103:20.

Psa 103:20 KJV Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

Spirit doesn’t listen to you but to the word of God spoken. The disciples did not use their own words but the word of Jesus, the same way He told them. What gives your prayer power, energy and capabilities is not how eloquent you say it but what is actually said. It is who is saying it and on whose authority.

Luke made us know that owners challenged the disciples.

The Greek word used for the “owners” is ” kurios” which is the same word used for the “Lord”. This means there were two Lord’s of owners laying claim to the Ass and the Colt.

So,who could be the real owners of the Ass?

I believe Jesus was the real owner.

Matthew gives us an insight

Mat 21:4-5 KJV 4 All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, 5 Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.

A prophet had spoken about this even nearly 500 years ago which means the real destined owner of the Ass was Jesus.

Zec 9:9 KJV Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.

Another reason is deducted from what Mark winter Jesus has saying when He was describing the Ass to them:

Mar 11:2 KJV And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him.

He said, “whereon never man sat”

Which means this Ass is sacred, untamed and unbroken. No animal was allowed to be employed in sacred uses, even among the heathen, that had previously been used for any domestic or agricultural purpose; and those which had never been yoked were considered as sacred. Nu 19:2,

The third point was that Jesus never begged, borrowed, pleaded or even asked permission to use the animals because He needed not to. Why? They belonged to Him.

He needed the Ass to fulfill the prophecy but His was tied up somewhere. What did He do? He laid a claim on it and sent for His Ass to be loosed and set free.

Do you know why the Ass was important?

The Ass was the means of transportation to take Jesus to the place of glory where He would be celebrated, glorified and honored and where people would be prostrating and children shouting hosanna yet the Ass was tied down.

It was the means of fulfilling prophecy

There is an Ass that God has destined for many of us to take us to the place of glory like wedding hall, car park, etc. After this encounter, I command them to be loosed in Jesus name.

What is it that belongs to you that has been tied down, for how long has it been tied down and where is it tied down? For Jesus, the Ass was tied at the road junction in a village.

If your money is tied down, it is your responsibility to set them free. If your business, miracle, opportunity, job, career, blessings are tied down somewhere, you have to free them in order for you to enjoy them.

Why were those “owners” challenging the disciples?

They either want the Ass and the Colt to remain in that same position forever, they wanted the status quo to remain or possibly denied Jesus of using what belonged to Him

Ladies and gentlemen, whatever the devil laid hold on, he doesn’t give up easily. This is how Isaiah described him

Isa 14:17 KJV That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?

This is how the Lord Jesus described him:

Mat 12:29 KJV Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.

But the good news is that anything taken into captivity can be liberated and freed.

Isa 49:24-25 KJV 24 Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered? 25 But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.

Testimony: The devil can tie a person’s finances down or means of prosperity. A man wanted to sell his car but found it very difficult. Meanwhile, the very day he displayed the car a couple drove by and saw it. The man told the wife this is my car but the woman said no way. For many days and months the woman was resisting the man from buying the car.

The man who wanted to sell the car heard this kind of sermon and seriously went into heartfelt prayers. While he was praying, in the house of the man that wanted to buy the car, something strange happened. The woman just came out from the kitchen and handed over the man money for the car to go get the car.

You see, God had answered the man’s prayer but the devil tied down the sale of the car. U till the man broke through in prayer and commanded the power holding his finances to let go before he could get the car sold.

Another lesson to learn is that even if a prophet has spoken a very good thing about you, it will not come to pass automatically or on its own. You must enforce the fulfillment and make them come to reality.

Command power that is holding on to what is yours to loose their grip and it will come to you. They brought the Ass to Jesus and He rode on them.

Prayers

Wherever they are being held captive presently, I command them to be free. Every power holding them down, loose your hold now in Jesus name. Every lawful or unlawful captives be rescued today in Jesus name.
