MAKE THAT PROPHECY COME TO PASS
MAKE THAT PROPHECY COME TO PASS

1Ki 18:41-45 KJV 41 And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain. 42 So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees, 43 And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times. 44 And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man’s hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down, that the rain stop thee not. 45 And it came to pass in the mean while, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel.
After the contest at Mount Carmel, Elijah told Ahab to get ready because there was a sound of an abundance of rain. Only Elijah heard this noise. This was based on what God had told him earlier in verse 1 of this same chapter.
You may be the only person who hears good news. Take it like that.
1Ki 18:1 KJV And it came to pass after many days, that the word of the LORD came to Elijah in the third year, saying, Go, shew thyself unto Ahab; and I will send rain upon the earth.
So how will the prophecy come to fulfilment?
When Ahab went to the house to celebrate Elijah knew better than the fact that God has said it does not automatically come to pass. So, he went to the mountains to pray.

James described the way he prayed.
Jas 5:17-18 KJV 17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. 18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.
James was a commentary on 1Kg 18.
The rain fell
What are the lessons?
That prayers or prophecy does not come to pass automatically
That you have to be persistent and adamant in your prayers. Elijah was in his prayer for more than seven hours.

Jesus said men ought always to pray and not faint.
Luk 18:1 KJV And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
What was Elijah praying for or against the prayers? After all God has spoken with him. There were forces that will not make your prophecy work or make your prayers come to pass. Such a force is seen in the example of hindrance to Daniel’s answer.
Dan 10:12-13 KJV 12 Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. 13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.
What helped Daniel even though he was not aware of forces battling in the realm of the spirit concerning him; he persisted in prayers for 21days. Michael had to come to help the angel bring the answer. May we all have divine and angelic interventions in our lives in Jesus’s name.

The third point is to pray in faith. Each time Elijah prayed, he sent his servant to look out for any sign of rain. Watch out for your answer, look out for your answer, and once you see the signs there, begin to celebrate your victory. Most people want a full-blown answer but sometimes God walks in degrees according to our faith. Because of this, most people lose their answer due to impatience that arises from doubt.
That leads me to another point, which is that you must not waver in your prayers.
Jas 1:6-8 KJV 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For him that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
Lastly, be vocal about your prayer and prophecy. Elijah announced the prediction to Ahab twice. He went to meet him in verse 2 and after the contest he announced it again. If he had kept quiet about the word he received from God, the priest of Baal would have ascribed the victories to themselves. But Elijah had announced it and there was no doubt that it was his God that made it happen. When we also announce it, it boosts our faith in God and at the same time puts what I will call “mild pressure” on heaves and angels to make sure that the word of God finds expression in our lives.

Psa 103:20 KJV Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
This also means we will become the Lord’s remembrancers according to Is 62:6-7. They that make mention of the name of the Lord should not keep quiet. This is because God Himself has said this:
Isa 43:26 KJV Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.
Prayers
- Oh ye my prophecy, manifest in Jesus’s name
- Every power challenging my words and prophecy perish by fire in Jesus’s name.
- I receive my abundance of rain of blessings in Jesus’s name.
