He will send him to you
HE WILL SEND HIM TO YOU
They came looking for Jesus in the wilderness. Of course they found Him and wanted Him to stay with them,. However Jesus has a different thing to tell them:
Luk 4:43 KJV And he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent.
The Greek word for ‘sent’ in that verse is “apostello” and it means to order (one) to go to a place appointed, to send away, dismiss, to allow one to depart, that he may be in a state of liberty, to order one to depart, send off.
In order words Jesus Christ was saying that He was commissioned and designed to go to an appointed place. Jesus was sent! By whom? For what? He told them He was sent to preach the Gospel to other places.
Gal 4:4 KJV But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
The reason was because there was a need of salvation for mankind and God sent His Son to do the job.
God sent Jesus to bless mankind.
Act 3:26 KJV Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
Wherever there is a need, God always send somebody to do the job.
God sent Saul to Samuel
The children of Israel had asked for a king. There was nobody they could picked to be the king because there were no royal family houses. God didn’t tell them who He will give to them as king. Samuel though a prophet didn’t know the mind of God about this issue. I am telling you we see in part and we know in part. God told Samuel a day before Samuel met Saul
1Sam 9:16 KJV To morrow about this time I will send thee a man out of the land of Benjamin, and thou shalt anoint him to be captain over my people Israel, that he may save my people out of the hand of the Philistines: for I have looked upon my people, because their cry is come unto me.
And that was how Saul became the first king in Israel not because he had any special ability or talent other than his height. Grace found him. That grace will locate you in Jesus name. God sent Saul to Samuel to solve the need in Israel. Whosoever God will send to meet that need in your life shall locate you in Jesus name.
How did God made them to meet?
Kish Ass got missing and by divine providence they decided to visit a seer to get the whereabout of the Ass and that was how Saul came to Samuel. There shall be divine arrangement that will connect you to who is looking for a solution in Jesus name. You are the solution the world is waiting for.
God send Joseph ahead of his brethren
When People read the story of Joseph, they always feel sorry for him. I mean he was very young at the age of 17 when he was sold into slavery, left his father alone and was in Egypt. In Egypt, while serving in the house of his master Portipher he was lied against and was thrown into the prison. Right there in the prison, he was able to interpret the dream of two servant of Pharaoh which came to pass and when the chief Butler was going he asked him to remember him but as Bible says, the man forgot Joseph. There is no way you will read the story of Joseph that you will not feel sorry for him.
Thirteen years after, all of them met again in Egypt. This time around it was not that seventeen year boy that was sold into slavery but the Prime Minister of Egypt they were talking to. They felt bad, they almost enter into the ground but this is what Joseph said and it shocked me:
Gen 45:5 KJV Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life.
God in His divine knowledge knew what will happen and if there is no provision the children of Israel may perish and the big picture of having Jesus coming from the tribe of Judah would have been defeated.
Gen 50:19-21 KJV 19 And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God? 20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. 21 Now therefore fear ye not: I will nourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them.
This is what Psalmist said about Joseph:
Psa 105:17 KJV He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:
Joseph was more or less a saviour sent to rescue the children of Israel long time before the need arose because God saw it. There are needs that you may not anticipate now but God will send a saviour to you in time of need in Jesus name.
God sent Moses to be the deliverer
Even though Moses was initially rejected by the people he was sent to rescue, God still sent him. This is because God flows through people.
Act 7:35 KJV This Moses whom they refused, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge? the same did God send to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel which appeared to him in the bush.
God sent Elijah to a widow woman of Zarephath
There was famine in the land of Israel, there was no water anywhere because Elijah had seized the rain. He himself had no food to eat and no water drink. Initially he was at the brook where God arranged fo Raven to feed him but after a while the water in the brook dried up. may your source of income not dry up in Jesus name. How will Elijah fed? God had a way.
There was a woman who had need of food in Zarephath but God used one need to meed another need. Whenever God wants to bless people He creates need and if there be any wise man that understand the time, that person will key into that need and he will walk into his breakthrough.
1Ki 17:9 KJV Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.
God wanted to help the woman and so He sent a man to him. He sent a prophet. On the surface it will look as if Elijah was the one that had a need, yes but God wanted to help the woman who really had greater need. Sometime we feel we are helping to solve our Pastor’s problem, but in essence we are only helping ourselves. The Lord Jesus testified of this:
Luk 4:25-26 KJV 25 But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land; 26 But unto none of them was Elias sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow.
There were many widows in Israel, Elijah was not sent to any of them except this woman, may the anointing of God single you out for uncommon blessing in Jesus name.
God sent Elisha to Naaman:
Naaman was an army captain who had many stars to his credit but he was a leper. He hears that there was a prophet in Israel that could cure him of his leprosy, he went by the help of his king and had an encountered with Elisha. He came to meet Elisha
2Ki 5:14 KJV Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.
This is how the Lord Jesus put it:
Luk 4:27 KJV And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian.
God sent Elisha to him. In real life it was Naaman that came to meet Elisha but it was God that made the arrangement possible. God connected the General Naaman to Elisha through the house maid in his house. You may be in need now, but God is going to connect you to people that know people that know that person in Jesus name. God is in business of connecting people.
God send Paul to Macedonian people
Paul was actually looking for a place to preach the gospel and it seems everywhere was blocked until he received a vision when a man in that vision asked him to come and help them.
Act 16:6-10 KJV 6 Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia, 7 After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not. 8 And they passing by Mysia came down to Troas. 9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us. 10 And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.
God sent the missionary to preach because there was a need. This is how the writer of Romans put it.
Rom 10:15 KJV And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
God sent Ananias to heal Paul
Paul had been commissioned by God to preach the gospel with signs and wonders but he himself needed help because he was struck blind by the light he encountered on his way to Damascus. This is how his problem was solved:
Act 9:17 KJV And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.
May be you are sick today, we have been commissioned to heal in the name of Jesus, receive it now in Jesus name.
Peter was sent to Cornellius’s house
One of the things Angels will not do is to preach the gospel. This has been reserved for us humans. The angel that visited Cornelius asked him to send to Joppa where Peter was residing. The messenger actually went but Peter was hesitating until God spoke:
Act 10:20 KJV Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them.
It was God that sent those people whereas on the surface it appeared that it was Cornelius. Be mindful how you treat people because they may be people God has sent to help you. This is how Abraham entertained angels unaware.
We need to preach the gospel to everyone by all means and at all time. This is our mandate.
God sent His word to heal
Psa 107:20 KJV He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
The word of God will not return to Him void.
Isa 55:11 KJV So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
God send the word of salvation
Any one that believes has the word of God sent to him. It is the word of salvation.
Act 13:26 KJV Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.
Angels were sent for offence and defence
Angels destroyed Sodom
Sodom and the twin city Gomorrah were deep into immorality and God had determined to destroy it, so He sent two angels there to ascertain the truth of the matter. Below and behold, they wanted to have intercourse with the angels. it was that bad.
Gen 19:13 KJV For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.
Angels delivered good news to people
Luk 1:19 KJV And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings.
They were sent to announced the birth of Jesus
Luk 1:26 KJV And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
They destroyed Jerusalem
1Ch 21:15 KJV And God sent an angel unto Jerusalem to destroy it: and as he was destroying, the LORD beheld, and he repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed, It is enough, stay now thine hand. And the angel of the LORD stood by the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.
They killed 183000 mighty men of Sennecherub
Sennecherub had raged against the God of Israel and harassed the people of Israel. King Hezekiah went to the prophet to seek the face of God and God told him to relax, He had the situation under control. In the night while his army were sleeping, one angel slain all his soldiers. When he woke up, he found out the were all dead.
2Ch 32:21 KJV And the LORD sent an angel, which cut off all the mighty men of valour, and the leaders and captains in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame of face to his own land. And when he was come into the house of his god, they that came forth of his own bowels slew him there with the sword.
Angel were sent to deliver message
Daniel had prayed for twenty one day with fasting, but no answer was coming. But the man refused to give up and while still on his knee an angel appeared to him.
Dan 10:11 KJV And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.
Angels were sent to rescue
The apostles were arrested for preaching in the name of Jesus and were consequently locked up inside the prison but in the night, there was divine intervention that brought them out.
Act 5:18-19 KJV 18 And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison. 19 But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said,
The night Peter was to be slain, he was sleeping among sixteen soldiers. The church were praying unceasingly for him and because of the intercession God sent His angel. Peter’s legs were fastened in he stock but in the night while he was sleeping, an angel came to rescue him.
Act 12:11 KJV And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the Lord hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.
Angels were sent to give direction
The crusade had just finished and Spirit of the Lord spoke to Phillip:
Act 8:26 KJV And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert.
Why will the angel asked him to go into the desert when he could have been enjoying the euphoria ofthe success of the miracles? It was because a soul need to be saved.
Act 8:29 KJV Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.
By the ministration of Phillip, the Ethiopians eunuch was converted and the gospel was brought to Africa.
Act 8:27 KJV And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,
When you pray, God hears your prayer and one of the ways He answers is by sending people across our path. When you pray for business, God will not come and buy your goods but He will send people to come and buy good. If you want to sell a product, God will prompts people, nudge them, or even speak to them to meet your need.
Luk 6:38 KJV Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
It is men that will bring it into your bosom.
God is still in the business of sending people and many times He sends angel and from my understanding they appear in form of men. That is why Bible teaches us to be hospitable to strangers because some people entertain angels unaware.
Heb 13:2 KJV Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
This day and week, may the people God has sent to you manifest in Jesus name. They will bring your breakthrough, they will bring your business, job, promotion, blessings, miracles, favour and every good things of life.
