Praying the promises and prophecies into reality

There are may people that at one time or the other received a word from the Lord, some received a word of prophecy, to some it is a vision for their future. However, many are frustrated and disappointed because for so many months and years those words and prophecies are yet to come to pass. What could be the reason for this? How do we MAKE them come to reality? Yes you read right! We can make them come to pass.

1Ki 18:1-19 KJV 1 And it came to pass after many days, that the word of the LORD came to Elijah in the third year, saying, Go, shew thyself unto Ahab; and I will send rain upon the earth. 2 And Elijah went to shew himself unto Ahab. And there was a sore famine in Samaria. 3 And Ahab called Obadiah, which was the governor of his house. (Now Obadiah feared the LORD greatly: 4 For it was so, when Jezebel cut off the prophets of the LORD, that Obadiah took an hundred prophets, and hid them by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water.) 5 And Ahab said unto Obadiah, Go into the land, unto all fountains of water, and unto all brooks: peradventure we may find grass to save the horses and mules alive, that we lose not all the beasts. 6 So they divided the land between them to pass throughout it: Ahab went one way by himself, and Obadiah went another way by himself. 7 And as Obadiah was in the way, behold, Elijah met him: and he knew him, and fell on his face, and said, Art thou that my lord Elijah? 8 And he answered him, I am: go, tell thy lord, Behold, Elijah is here. 9 And he said, What have I sinned, that thou wouldest deliver thy servant into the hand of Ahab, to slay me? 10 As the LORD thy God liveth, there is no nation or kingdom, whither my lord hath not sent to seek thee: and when they said, He is not there; he took an oath of the kingdom and nation, that they found thee not. 11 And now thou sayest, Go, tell thy lord, Behold, Elijah is here. 12 And it shall come to pass, as soon as I am gone from thee, that the Spirit of the LORD shall carry thee whither I know not; and so when I come and tell Ahab, and he cannot find thee, he shall slay me: but I thy servant fear the LORD from my youth. 13 Was it not told my lord what I did when Jezebel slew the prophets of the LORD, how I hid an hundred men of the LORD’S prophets by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water? 14 And now thou sayest, Go, tell thy lord, Behold, Elijah is here: and he shall slay me. 15 And Elijah said, As the LORD of hosts liveth, before whom I stand, I will surely shew myself unto him to day. 16 So Obadiah went to meet Ahab, and told him: and Ahab went to meet Elijah. 17 And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said unto him, Art thou he that troubleth Israel? 18 And he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father’s house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of the LORD, and thou hast followed Baalim. 19 Now therefore send, and gather to me all Israel unto mount Carmel, and the prophets of Baal four hundred and fifty, and the prophets of the groves four hundred, which eat at Jezebel’s table.

In the text read above, there had been a terrible famine in Samaria. The famine was as a result of the judgement pronounced on them because of idolatry
People suffered because of the famine. In chapter seventeen Elijah had pronounced the famine and he said the conditions can only be reversed only at his word
May I decree this prayer that very yoke of famine over any life is broken in Jesus name.
In their time it was famine because of lack of rain, today there are many people passing through one famine or the other as a result of lack of finances, lack of jobs, lack of marital partner but after this prayer such famine are broken and defeated in Jesus name.
From now henceforth there shall be abundance in Jesus name.

The Lord Himself spoke to Elijah that He will send rain and that was after many days of famine. God wanted to restore the situations, he wanted to turn thing around. So he sent his servant Elijah. Whenever God wants to change a Man’s life he sent messages to them, he sent prophets to them. This morning I am sent to you that this week every situation of famine shall be restored in Jesus name. Wherever anyone has been experiencing lack and insufficiency there shall be rain of abundance in Jesus name.

Elijah went to see Ahab the king and there was a contest between the prophets of Baal and Elijah the prophet of God. God disgraced the prophets of Baal. Their Idol could not bring fire down but God of Elijah sent fire from heaven and it consumed Elijah’s sacrifice. People began to shout that Jehovah is Lord Jehovah is Lord. This year the Lord shall disgrace your enemies. Everyone that opposes you shall be disgraced and put to everlasting shame in Jesus name. Because of you people will testify that Jesus is Lord.

So how will the rain come?

Elijah had given the word of God to the people in fact in verse 44, he had told the king that he had heard the sound of abundance of rain and yet the sky was white as any thing, there was no cloud there was no rain. God had spoken, his prophet had spoken but there was no rain.

What did Elijah do in order to bring the promise and prophecy to pass? This is a lesson we need to learn here, there are so many of us that have received promises from God and received prophecy and it has been so many months and years now there has been no fulfilment of such. Many of us are already discouraged and frustrated. It seems as if the man of God lied to us. Many of us are waiting for the promises to come to pass and it has taken so long.

There is a principle am teaching that will help everyone of us. Whenever God speaks to us through the word, through a man of God or through guest minister, we need to cooperate with the word and receive it. We have responsibility towards that word. The things of God does not automatically come to pass. We have jobs to do.

What did Elijah do to bring his own prophecy to pass. We are told in verse 41 that Elijah told Ahab to go home, eat and drink but he himself in verse 43 went to the top of mountain to pray. Praying for what? He was praying for the manifestation of what he had prophesied, he was asking God to fulfil the word spoken to him. The Bible described his posture and how he prayed for seven times before his servant saw a small little cloud, that was when Elijah stood up. Many of us when we pray we quickly give up, we don’t persevere in prayer, we cannot tarry long in prayers, we are not persistent enough. Elijah was in a position of prayer till he got result. He did not give up.

I plead with you don’t give up on God, keep at it, pray more, seek more, knock more, believe God more, wait until you receive your answers.
This year there shall be harvest of answers, for you in Jesus name.

Whenever there is a promise, God has done his own work, our own responsibility is to bring it to pass, its not God, we have to pray it into existence. Just like Elijah.
This is the same principle people uses all through the Bible.
Instances
The Bible right from Gen 3:15 and throughout entire old testament has been prophesying about the Lord Jesus. But for the promise to come to pass, there were many people that gave themselves to pray it into existence.

Luk 2:25-32 KJV 25 And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him. 26 And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. 27 And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law, 28 Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said, 29 Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word: 30 For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, 31 Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people; 32 A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.

Simeon had a revelation about the coming of the Lord and that he will not die till he has set his eyes on the Messiah. From that time Simeon prayed it into reality and he was led into the temple at the time when Mary and Joseph brought Jesus for dedication.

Whatever God spoken to you about shall come to pass in Jesus name. Your eyes shall see it, your hands shall touch it in Jesus name.

Another woman was also in the temple at that time.

Luk 2:36-38 KJV 36 And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity; 37 And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day. 38 And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem.

She served the Lord just by praying and fasting for the redemption of Israel for almost 80years. And she saw Jesus. She prayed Jesus into reality.
Another instances was the promise of holy ghost by the Lord Jesus unto the disciples

He told them that Holy Spirit will come but they should wait for it.
After Jesus ascended, the people remembered his word about the Holy Ghost. So how will Holy Ghost come? The Bible told us what they did in order to receive the promise.

Act 1:13-15 KJV 13 And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James. 14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren. 15 And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)

120 people gathered together for ten days they were praying for to receive the promise of the father.

Act 2:1-2 KJV 1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

After ten days Holy Ghost came on the day of Pentecost, they prayed him I to existence
I don’t know what God has promised you, the prayer point that has been released on you, it is time for them to manifests, it is time for them to come into reality, we need to pray them out, bring them into the open, command them to happen, command the devil to loose his power over our blessing.
There are many children of God begging and pleading with God as if it depends on God, no it is our responsibility.

The Bible says as they pray then suddenly the Holy Ghost came down, this week as you pray the promise will come down, your blessing will come down, your answer will come down in Jesus name
