HE KNOWS IT ALL
HE KNOWS IT ALL
Est 2:12-17 KJV 12 Now when every maid’s turn was come to go in to king Ahasuerus, after that she had been twelve months, according to the manner of the women, (for so were the days of their purifications accomplished, to wit, six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with sweet odours, and with other things for the purifying of the women;) 13 Then thus came every maiden unto the king; whatsoever she desired was given her to go with her out of the house of the women unto the king’s house. 14 In the evening she went, and on the morrow she returned into the second house of the women, to the custody of Shaashgaz, the king’s chamberlain, which kept the concubines: she came in unto the king no more, except the king delighted in her, and that she were called by name. 15 Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, was come to go in unto the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king’s chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appointed. And Esther obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her. 16 So Esther was taken unto king Ahasuerus into his house royal in the tenth month, which is the month Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign. 17 And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.
There is an adage that says no one knows it all and sometimes people say no one knows tomorrow. As I study the Bible, I discover that the statement may not be 100% politically correct.
In the text above, Vashti has been deposed because of her miscalculation. She erred in disgracing and humiliating the king. As a result, the counselor advised the king to find her replacement. I don’t know the sit or position of honour you are occupying now in your compound, family and at the place of work, my prayer for you is you will not be replaced, removed, disgraced in Jesus name.
Also I believed that it was divinely orchestrated so that Esther could come into the throne because of what the devil had planned for the Jews through Hagai. So somebody has to be removed so that somebody can reign.
Psa 75:6-7 KJV 6 For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. 7 But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.
Maidens were brought from all the provinces and one was to be selected. The procedure was 12 months long. Six months will be used for oil of myrrh and another six months with sweet odours. They were all kept with an chamberlin called Hegai. When it is your turn, you will go in in the evening and the following morning you will go to the other side as concubine in the care of another chamberlain Shassgash. You will not be able to return to the king except he calls you by name.
The reasons why they spent 12 months preparing them was because they could be purified of offensive odours and also to make sure none was already pregnant before coming in unto the king.
This is another great lesson to be learnt. How long have you been preparing for that future role? What you want to become in life, how long have you been ready for it? What have you been doing spiritually about it? How many times have you fasted, waited upon the Lord, sought counsel from experts about it or you are just wishing and hoping that it will fall in line or when you get to the bridge you will cross it? Bishop Mrs Funke Felix Adejumo says while she was not yet married she had already bought shoes that her children would wear. She read about 103 books on marriage before any man proposed to her.
Before you go into the king, whatever thing you desire as a woman would be given to you. So all the maidens one by one were going in and coming out. One day the Bible said it was the turn of Esther. Others have been going in but now it was her turn.
Others in life might be achieving something or the other, some are buying cars, buying lands, acquiring properties, getting married, and doing so many things. And here you are wondering when will get this thing? When will I buy my own? When will I marry? Delay is not denial. I believe that your turn has come. It is your turn. This is your season. This is your time. It will not pass you by. You will not miss it in Jesus name. Even though overtaking is allowed, it is your turn. You will enter in Jesus name.
Psa 102:13 KJV Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.
The Bible says when it was Esther’s turn to enter. Something happened. As I said every maiden is allowed to request and take whatever she may desire with her into the king’s chamber. All the other ladies requested what they think was good for them and were granted but when it was the turn of Esthe, this is what the Bible say:
Est 2:15 KJV Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, was come to go in unto the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king’s chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appointed. And Esther obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her.
She asked nothing but what Hegai appointed. What was the result? The Bible says that she obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her. In verse 17 even the king could not resist her.
Est 2:17 KJV And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.
I wanted to know what brought this treatment melted out to Esther. You see, Hegai, who was in charge of the women, had been in the service for a very long time and I believe was in charge of Vashti when she was the queen. He knows what the king delights in women, how women ought to appear, the kind of perfume they ought to be using and so many other things like that.
So when it was the turn of Esther, God gave her wisdom that made her not to ask for any special thing other than what this Hegai recommended.
While other ladies were depending on their own knowledge, wisdom, hair stylist, make-up artist to perfect them, They were very proud and arrogant, self dependent, self reliant, selfish, and foolish. Esther relied on Hegai’s advice.
It was an act of humility, obedience, cooperation and trustworthiness and this is how she activated the favour factor..
What was the result for Esther? She was made the queen. She was celebrated.
Est 2:18 KJV Then the king made a great feast unto all his princes and his servants, even Esther’s feast; and he made a release to the provinces, and gave gifts, according to the state of the king.
After this encounter wherever anyone has been unjustly humiliated, you shall be celebrated again in Jesus name.
Pro 3:5-6 KJV 5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Some people have gotten to that point where there is no need for hegai in their life. They know it all. They can’t be advised and you cannot talk to them unless you want an insult. This was the undoing of the other maidens, they were so full of themselves.
Under the New Testament, there is superior Hegai and that is the Holy Spirit. He knows it all. Somebody that Jesus said He will teach us all things must Himself know all things.
Joh 14:26 KJV But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Isaiah had prophesied the limitation of mankind in Is 64:4 but this is what Paul said quoting Isaiah and at the same time correcting him:
1Co 2:9-11 KJV 9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
The Holy Spirit searches all things, the very deep things of God. He knows the things of God. He knows the plans, purpose, intention and the mind of God. He knows what God desires and wants to achieve on the earth. If we yield to Him, partner with Him, be intimate and acquainted then He will reveal them to us as the Lord Jesus had said.
Then we will be able to pray according to the will of God. Prayer is praying the intention and mind of God. In the Lord;s prayer, the Lord said thy will be done on the earth. How do we know His will? This is where the all knowing teachers come in.
Rom 8:26-27 KJV 26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
God Knows the desires which the Holy Spirit excites and produces in the heart. The desires which he excites in the heart of the Christian are those which are according to his will; they are such as God wishes to exist. The Spirit of God makes intercession for the saints, not by supplication to God on their behalf, but by directing and qualifying their supplications in a proper manner, by his agency and influence upon their hearts. The Holy Spirit is the “other Paraclete” (Joh 14:16) who pleads God’s cause with us as Christ is our Paraclete with the Father (1Jo 2:1)
We will never pray amis like James said in Jam 4:3
Esther waited on Hegai, she did not despise him, so also if we will wait on the Holy Spirit, He will talk to us, show us the thing to come.
Instances:
Mat 9:4 KJV And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?
Luk 11:17 KJV But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth.
Mark says, “Jesus perceived “in his spirit” that they so reasoned.” The power of searching the heart, and of knowing the thoughts of people, belongs only to God, 1Ch 28:9; Rom 8:27; Rev 2:23; Jer 17:10
We too can know all things. It is an ability that we can take hold of.
1Jn 2:20 KJV But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.
Point to note
It is very important to have the Holy Spirit, be baptized and be intimate with Him. Commune with Him on a daily basis. Let Him in every department of your life.
Don’t grieve Him
Eph 4:30 KJV And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
Don’t ignore, abandon, forsake and neglect Him
But be filled with the Holy Spirit. It is not a one time encounter but every now and then.
Eph 5:18 KJV And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
