PERFECTED AND COMPLETED IN CHRIST

PERFECTED AND COMPLETED IN CHRIST

Psa 138:8 KJV The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.

This was the desire and prayer of David. David had been anointed king when he was about 15 years but circumstances prevailing did not allow him to reign.

1Sa 16:11-13 KJV 11 And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither. 12 And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he. 13 Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.

It was when he was 30 years old that he was anointed king over one tribe Judah but his mandate in life was to rule over all Israel. Samuel anointed David when he was about 15, and he did not take the throne until 30. David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years. In Hebron he reigned over Judah for seven years and six months, and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty-three years over all Israel and Judah. So he started reigning over all Israel at 37 years.

He was a king over Judah alone for seven years while still carrying prophecy around and therefore necessitated these prayers.

2Sa 2:4 KJV And the men of Judah came, and there they anointed David king over the house of Judah. And they told David, saying, That the men of Jabeshgilead were they that buried Saul.

The Lord has started it and will finish it. After seven years, he eventually became king over the whole of Israel. The Lord actually perfected all that concerns him.

2Sa 5:3 KJV So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and king David made a league with them in Hebron before the LORD: and they anointed David king over Israel.

The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me ; i.e . will complete what he has begun for me and will not leave his work unfinished.

We all have one area or the other in which we are expecting so much talk about perfection. Jesus says ask so that your joy may be full Jn 15:11; Jn 16:24. We need certain things that make us rejoice, smile, laugh and testify.

Phi 1:6 KJV Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Here the good work is the work of salvation. It is progressive. It starts with your spirit being saved, your soul being saved while your body will be saved on the day Jesus returns.

2Co 1:10 KJV Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;

That part that is completed in you, you can take advantage of it now.

One third of our salvation is completed in our spirit. 1Thess 5: 23. Our souls are being saved Jam 1: 21 and our bodies shall be saved when Jesus returns as we wait for the redemption of purchased possession Ephe 1: 14.

Heb 12:23 KJV To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

Heb 10:14 KJV For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

But under the New Testament, we have a better covenant established upon better promises. We don’t pray like David. Why? this is what the Bible says:

Col 2:10 KJV And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

Because Jesus has the fullness of God, we are in Him and He is in us, we are full of Him. He is the perfect one because the godhead fully dwells in Him. It pleases God the Father and God the Holy Spirit to fully dwell bodily in Jesus. He is God that carries all that is of God. He is the embodiment of Godhead,

Col 2:9 KJV For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

The fullness of the Godhead dwelt in His person from His birth to His ascension. He carried His human body with Him into heaven, and in His glorified body now and ever dwells the fullness of the Godhead.

All the attributes of God summed up in Christ (Col 2:9)

Col 1:19 KJV For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;

Our union with Christ made us to be partakers of this fullness. Our completion is in Christ.

Rom 8:9 KJV But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

1Co 6:17 KJV But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

We have received from that fullness.

Joh 1:16 KJV And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

All believers have received of the “fullness of grace and truth” that is in Christ. Compare Eph 1:23; Eph 3:19; Col 1:19; Col 2:9. In all these places our Saviour is represented as the fullness of God – as “abounding” in mercy, as exhibiting the divine attributes, and as possessing in himself all that is necessary to fill his people with truth, and grace, and love.

WHAT YOU MUST BELIEVE

The no 1 thing that changes a Christian life and makes a lot of difference in his prayer and how he approaches God is understanding of these verses. We have received. We are not praying to receive, we are not trying to receive, we don’t fast to make God do it. We have received.

You must persuade and convince yourself that you have received. That I have it, I am carrying it, it is already in me. I have the fullness of God in me. Everything I will ever need is already in me. I have the grace to be all that God has called me to be.

2Pe 1:3 KJV According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

Paul says we have this treasure in an earthen vessel. A great treasure in such a humble container.

2Co 4:7 KJV But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

The treasure is the greatness of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and the glory of God made evident through that gospel. It is the very light of God, and the light of the knowledge of the glory of God , reflected in the face of Jesus Christ . This is the greatest treasure in all of creation!

We are literally a container of His glory, power, anointing and ability.

His ability is working in us

Col 1:29 KJV Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.

Paul says in Roms 8: 11 that if the Spirit of Him that raised Jesus dwells in us. Having a permanent residency.

Rom 8:11 KJV But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

1Jn 4:13 KJV Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.

Col 1:27 KJV To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

Eph 1:3 KJV Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

We are already blessed with everything that pertains to life and godliness. We have them already. Knowing this should make anyone rejoice.

No 2 is to learn how to release what we have gotten. You must birth what you are carrying for it to profit you. This is what they call the dualization principle. What God has done; you reproduce it here on earth. Jesus had taught in the Lord’s prayer that God’s will should be done on earth as it was done in heaven.

Phi 2:12-13 KJV 12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. 13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Scholars have said that verse 13 ought to proceed to verse 12. What it means is that what God has worked in you, you now produce it on the outside. Your salvation is complete in Christ in your spirit. Work it out. Birth it, produce it. Give birth to what you have received.

2Cor 4:10-11 KJV 10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. 11 For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

How to release what you carry?

1. Through fervent prayers

Elijah

1Ki 18:41-43 KJV 41 And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain. 42 So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees, 43 And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times.

He had received intimation that rain would fall, predicted and prophesied to the king; now he went to the mountain to pray to release what he had received in the spirit realm.

Jas 5:17-18 KJV 17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. 18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

He heard the sound of abundance of rain in the spirit but had to release it physically. What are you hearing? hearing naira has fallen, no job news, nope hear faith.

2. Through speaking in tongues.

2Ti 1:6 KJV Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.

1Co 14:14 KJV For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.

3. By speaking forth your faith.

We give expression to our faith when we speak forth or prophesy.

God spoke forth what He carried in Genesis and that was how the earth was recreated. He said light be. What He saw I. His mind He spoke it out. By His words heaven and earth were created.

Act 3:6 KJV Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

The woman with alabaster box

Mar 14:3 KJV And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.

Joh 12:3 KJV Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.

There was aroma and nice odour in the alabaster box but it was not released until the box was broken. You need to break your alabaster box.

There are things that are confined in you just like that aroma in the alabaster box. Break your alabaster box.

Eph 1:3 KJV Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

Your job is in you, your business, promotion, good health, healing, deliverance, breakthrough, helper, husband, wife, anointing, power and everything you think of is already in you. Release it.

Rom 8:19 KJV For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

When you break the alabaster box, the perfume shall be released, it shall bless you and bless your world. We carry other people’s miracles and if we don’t manifest, they may die and we too may die with what we carry.

A man had a revelation of heaven where an angel showed him warehouses with people’s names on them. He got to his own but found a little portion of the warehouse empty so he inquired from the angel how come and the angel told him that is how much you have been able to release from all that is yours.

Myles Munrou says die empty. Because according to him the richest place is the grave. People die with the unwritten songs, unpublished books, business never started and goals never realized.

When He says ask He is asking you to place a demand on what it’s already provided.

Prayers

Command it to be released in Jesus name.
