RIGHT INFORMATION FOR SALVATION

RIGHT INFORMATION FOR SALVATION

What is information? knowledge obtained from investigation, study, or instruction. Information is something that people can learn, know about, or understand.

Primary purpose of information

Information typically falls into one of six primary purposes — to inform, to entertain, to provoke, to document, to persuade or to sell — and should be evaluated based on that primary purpose.

To be informed therefore means to be instructed; having knowledge of a fact or area of education.

To be informed is to be well formed.

Right information leads to transformation; consequently lack of good information leads to deformation

Needs of Information

1. Decision-making: One of the most significant needs of information is for decision-making. …

2. Learning and Education: Information is needed for learning and education. …

3. Innovation and Creativity: Information is a vital component of innovation and creativity

As a general rule, the most successful man in life is the man who has the best information..….Benjamin Disraeli

1Sa 9:1-9 KJV 1 Now there was a man of Benjamin, whose name was Kish, the son of Abiel, the son of Zeror, the son of Bechorath, the son of Aphiah, a Benjamite, a mighty man of power. 2 And he had a son, whose name was Saul, a choice young man, and a goodly: and there was not among the children of Israel a goodlier person than he: from his shoulders and upward he was higher than any of the people. 3 And the asses of Kish Saul’s father were lost. And Kish said to Saul his son, Take now one of the servants with thee, and arise, go seek the asses. 4 And he passed through mount Ephraim, and passed through the land of Shalisha, but they found them not: then they passed through the land of Shalim, and there they were not: and he passed through the land of the Benjamites, but they found them not. 5 And when they were come to the land of Zuph, Saul said to his servant that was with him, Come, and let us return; lest my father leave caring for the asses, and take thought for us. 6 And he said unto him, Behold now, there is in this city a man of God, and he is an honourable man; all that he saith cometh surely to pass: now let us go thither; peradventure he can shew us our way that we should go. 7 Then said Saul to his servant, But, behold, if we go, what shall we bring the man? for the bread is spent in our vessels, and there is not a present to bring to the man of God: what have we? 8 And the servant answered Saul again, and said, Behold, I have here at hand the fourth part of a shekel of silver: that will I give to the man of God, to tell us our way. 9 (Beforetime in Israel, when a man went to enquire of God, thus he spake, Come, and let us go to the seer: for he that is now called a Prophet was beforetime called a Seer.)

Certain things happen in life that you could not explain because they are divinely orchestrated. God was behind them. He plans and executes them. In the text we read, previously the children of Israel had asked for a king and God had mandated Samuel to give them one. So, who is going to become the king? Where will they find him and how? Samuel even though a prophet did not know.

God ordained that the ass of Saul’s father be lost and Saul and a servant were commissioned to look for them. They went and searched up and down and in verse 5 Saul told his servant that they should go back lest the father will start worrying about them.

They would have returned empty handed, effort wasted and time wasted. May you not labour in vain in life in Jesus name.

The servant told Saul that rather than returning they should go to a man of God in the city who will tell them where the asses were.

How come Saul didn’t know that? Saul was not aware that Samuel lived in that city but the servant knew. Saul was the tallest man in Israel yet he had no basic information. Height is not equivalent to knowledge. When you read the account down, the information led them to Samuel who will later install and ordain Saul as king.

Saul, who was an ordinary man a few days back, suddenly became a waiting king.

That information from the servant led Saul to his destiny. I pray for you that information that will take you to the place of destiny locates you in Jesus name.

When  you are informed you will be transformed.

Right information leads to the right destination. They were walking up and down until they got the right information where Samuel was, the information leading to the right destination.

When you are not well informed you become deformed.

Knowledge is power. Information is liberating. Education is the premise of progress, in every society, in every family—Kofi Annan

Without information people will just be roaming up and down in life. Such was the case of Joseph when his father Jacob sent him to check out the welfare of his brothers who were at Schekem. When he got to the place his father told him he could not find them and was now going up and down. There was nobody to ask directions from. Then something happened:

Gen 37:15-17 KJV 15 And a certain man found him, and, behold, he was wandering in the field: and the man asked him, saying, What seekest thou? 16 And he said, I seek my brethren: tell me, I pray thee, where they feed their flocks. 17 And the man said, They are departed hence; for I heard them say, Let us go to Dothan. And Joseph went after his brethren, and found them in Dothan.

That was the beginning of his journey to the place of destiny. May that certain man locate you this week in Jesus name.

Naaman

Everyone needs information. Whether big man or small man, we all at one time or the other need information that can change our lives. Such was the case of the general Naaman.

Naaman was a soldier, commander, the Bible testified that through him God had given Syria many victories yet he was a leper. That leprosy was a dent on his criteria and also a reproach. Every area of reproach shall become an area of testimony in Jesus name. He could have died a leper but something happened.

2Ki 5:1-4 KJV 1 Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the LORD had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper. 2 And the Syrians had gone out by companies, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a little maid; and she waited on Naaman’s wife. 3 And she said unto her mistress, Would God my lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria! for he would recover him of his leprosy. 4 And one went in, and told his lord, saying, Thus and thus said the maid that is of the land of Israel.

This young lady had known Elisha and many miracles Elisha had done and was confident that if only her master could see the prophet, he would be healed. She passed that information to her mistress and eventually Naaman got wind of it.

When you read the account Naaman eventually went to see Elisha, he bathed in river Jordan seven times and the Bible testified that his skin was restored like a baby’s own.

2Ki 5:14 KJV Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.

She gave information that would lead to the recovery and healing of the army captain. It was not only healing that she brought but salvation to the family of Naaman.

Somebody has information that will better your lot, wherever they are may God bring them to you in Jesus name.

David

The enemy Amalekites had raided Ziklag and taken away all the wives of men of David along with their properties. When David and his men came back they were perplexed and cried. David enquired from God and God asked him to pursue them and he will recover all.

1Sam 30:8 KJV And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.

But God didn’t tell him the direction he was to follow and this event happened three days back. But it is easier said than done. Where were they? How shall they find these fleet Amalekites who fly away so rapidly? How will David get them? The promise and prophecy was there that he will pursue, overtake and recover all but how?

Nevertheless David stepped out in faith. While they were going by faith something happened along the way:

1Sa 30:10-16 KJV 10 But David pursued, he and four hundred men: for two hundred abode behind, which were so faint that they could not go over the brook Besor. 11 And they found an Egyptian in the field, and brought him to David, and gave him bread, and he did eat; and they made him drink water; 12 And they gave him a piece of a cake of figs, and two clusters of raisins: and when he had eaten, his spirit came again to him: for he had eaten no bread, nor drunk any water, three days and three nights. 13 And David said unto him, To whom belongest thou? and whence art thou? And he said, I am a young man of Egypt, servant to an Amalekite; and my master left me, because three days agone I fell sick. 14 We made an invasion upon the south of the Cherethites, and upon the coast which belongeth to Judah, and upon the south of Caleb; and we burned Ziklag with fire. 15 And David said to him, Canst thou bring me down to this company? And he said, Swear unto me by God, that thou wilt neither kill me, nor deliver me into the hands of my master, and I will bring thee down to this company. 16 And when he had brought him down, behold, they were spread abroad upon all the earth, eating and drinking, and dancing, because of all the great spoil that they had taken out of the land of the Philistines, and out of the land of Judah.

Between the promise and the fulfillment, there was that Egyptian, an informant and a connector.

Look at the testimony here:

1Sam 30:18-19 KJV 18 And David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away: and David rescued his two wives. 19 And there was nothing lacking to them, neither small nor great, neither sons nor daughters, neither spoil, nor any thing that they had taken to them: David recovered all.

It came to pass. The prophecy came to fulfillment. Whatever has been taken from you legally or illegally, you shall recover them  in Jesus name.

There are many people carrying prophecies and promises for years, what you need is the right information that will connect you to the promise, after this encounter that Egyptian will come across your path. I connect you to your helpers in Jesus name.

Lesson: be nice to people under you and be nice to people you meet along your path, they may be your connecting route to the top.

In the days of the New Testament, many people did not know who Jesus was. Some heard about Him and yet they don’t know Him. Let’s read some of their experiences:

Joh 1:41-45 KJV 41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ. 42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone. 43 The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me. 44 Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. 45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

Andrew told Simon that they had found Jesus the messiah. Andrew was privileged to be among John the Baptist followers, when he heard John talking about Jesus, he went and informed his own brother, we have found him.

That encounter changed Peter’s life forever. We wouldn’t have known him if not for somebody informing him about the messiah.

The same story about Philip and Nathaniel, Philip looked for Nathaniel and told him, we have found that same person we read in the Psalms and Prophets every Sabbath.. The simple information changed the whole life of Simon forever.

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit gives information too. This is what the Lord Jesus said about Him

Joh 16:13 KJV Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

Joh 14:26 KJV But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

We will no longer remain ignorant of happenings around us, the devil will not be able to take advantage of us, why? The Holy Spirit will reveal things to you. That’s information, it could be through dreams, revelation and prophecy.

Isa 30:21 KJV And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

Under the new covenant

There is information that you have now that can change the life of somebody forever. Through that information, they can be saved, restored, be delivered from addiction, pornography, lesbianism, immorality, joblessness, wickedness of the devil, affliction and oppression of the devil.

You can be like the maid girl in Naaman’s house who will tell people that there is power and anointing that can heal the sick here. You can be like Andrew and Philip that will tell others to come and see Jesus. You can be that certain man that will show direction to others. You can also be a channel through which the Holy Spirit will flow to others passing information to them.

Don’t just be a receiver but dispenser of God’s grace.

Share the information to your neighbour, tell your friends.

Paul says he was not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is God’s power unto salvation. Rom 1:16

Share your knowledge. It is a way to achieve immortality—Dalai Lama

The greatest information you can ever given to anyone is the knowledge about salvation that is in the Lord Jesus; how He died for our sins and was resurrected for our justification 1Cor 15:3-4; Is 53:4-5; Rom 4:5

If you have found Jesus truly then tell others. Don’t keep the information to yourself. If you are enjoying Jesus now. You can call His name and he answers you if you have some experience with Him. Your life has not been the same since your salvation experience then tell your own Simon and Nathaniel that we have found Him.

What do you do with the information?

Knowledge is of no value unless you put it into practice—Anton Chekhov

Blind Bartimeaus could not see, but he heard sounds of large movement around him and he enquired what was happening, they told him Jesus of Nazareth was passing by, immediately he started shouting Jesus have mercy upon me. He got information and he acted on it instantly the result was that he got his healing.

Mar 10:46-47 KJV  46 And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. 47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

1. When you receive information let your fast mind do a quick analysis and process the information

2. Check the information if it is line and consistent with God’s word.

3. If it is then do not procrastinate, act on it immediately.

4. Trust God for testimony

Life is not about struggling, wandering like Hagar in the wilderness of life. It is about having the right information that leads to transformation. You get this information in a specific place and not just everywhere. Let me show you where the Bible calls such a place.

Ecc 9:11 KJV I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.

What does the bible mean by but time and chance happeneth to them all.?

This is how New Living Translation renders it:

Ecclesiastes 9:11 I have observed something else under the sun. The fastest runner doesn’t always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn’t always win the battle. The wise sometimes go hungry, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don’t always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time.

The reason is that between where you are now and where you ought to be in life is the right information that will catapult you to the place of destiny.

The Bible

The Bible is the greatest source of information in life. The writings are God’s breath and inspired by Him. They are for instruction in righteousness, contain doctrines, and have lessons that transcend generation. They were written for our admonitions and examples.

2Ti 3:16 KJV All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

1Co 10:11 KJV Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

Testimonies:

Prayers:

Oh Lord order my step to the place of destiny, place of breakthrough in the name of jesus.

Holy Spirit open my eyes and ears. Reveal things to me, show me things to come. Let me not be blind and deaf.
