The Lord wants us to increase and prosper.

It gives Him pleasure and delight:

Psa 35:27 KJV Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.

3Jn 1:2 KJV Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

Psa 71:21 KJV Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.

Psa 115:14 KJV The LORD shall increase you more and more, you and your children.

The Hebrew word they used for increase depicts breaking forth, breaking through from a common place of operating.

Gen 1:28 KJV And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

This was the mandate that God gave to the first man. He was to bear fruit in his body, mind, mouth, life and ministry. He was to multiply and that means to become numerous and increase in numbers.

After the deluge, God blessed Noah with the same blessings

Gen 9:1 KJV And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.

Gen 9:7 KJV And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein.

There is a law in the Bible and it is called the law of progressive increase. Whereby you start small but the latter end is multiplied.

Case study of Jacob and Laban

Gen 30:29-30 KJV 29 And he said unto him, Thou knowest how I have served thee, and how thy cattle was with me. 30 For it was little which thou hadst before I came, and it is now increased unto a multitude; and the LORD hath blessed thee since my coming: and now when shall I provide for mine own house also?

Gen 30:43 KJV And the man increased exceedingly, and had much cattle, and maidservants, and menservants, and camels, and asses.

Isaac greatness

Gen 26:13-14 KJV 13 And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: 14 For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.

Abraham their father

Gen 24:35 KJV And the LORD hath blessed my master greatly; and he has become great: and he hath given him flocks, and herds, and silver, and gold, and menservants, and maidservants, and camels, and asses.

Job 1:3 KJV His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east.

Act 2:41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

Act 2:47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Act 5:14 And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)

Act 11:24 For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord.

Each time they talked about increase or blessing they talked about their possession that is upon what that increase is all about.

Therefore anytime God talks about increase he fixes it on what people are working on or doing.

Deu 28:3-6 KJV 3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. 4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. 5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store. 6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

Deu 28:8 KJV The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

Deu 28:11 KJV And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

What this means is that the blessing that has been commanded does not rest on vague things, it is on the work of hands. A thousand times zero is zero.

This is the right motive for praying for increase so that we will not pray amiss, that is with wrong intention which James said to consume it for our own pleasure and lust.

Jas 4:3 KJV Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

These are the reasons why you must prosper this year

God wants us not to be only a carrier of Grace but  a distributor

The premise of increase in the kingdom is that we will not be containers but dispensers of God’s grace. Distributor of God’s manifold grace.

God flows through people and he looks for availability or channels by which He reaches out. Can you single yourself out for kingdom prosperity?

1Pet 4:10 KJV As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

To abound unto good work

2Cor 9:8 KJV And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

To supply the need of others

Eph 4:28 KJV Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

The advantage

2Cor 9:10 KJV Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)

You will never lack seed to sow to the work and to the people.

Your hand is the instrument of your economic empowerment. It is the avenue that God will use to bless and cause increase for you. When your hands are anointed, whatever you lay it on shall prosper. If you write an application letter for a job or contract, you will get it. When you open your store or business, customers will flood the place.

The adversary

One of the major areas whereby the devil fights people is to fight the work of their hand because he knows that is the way for them to prosper.

Case study of the MIdianites?

Jdg 6:2-6 KJV 2 And the hand of Midian prevailed against Israel: and because of the Midianites the children of Israel made them the dens which are in the mountains, and caves, and strong holds. 3 And so it was, when Israel had sown, that the Midianites came up, and the Amalekites, and the children of the east, even they came up against them; 4 And they encamped against them, and destroyed the increase of the earth, till thou come unto Gaza, and left no sustenance for Israel, neither sheep, nor ox, nor ass. 5 For they came up with their cattle and their tents, and they came as grasshoppers for multitude; for both they and their camels were without number: and they entered into the land to destroy it. 6 And Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites; and the children of Israel cried unto the LORD.

Job 1:10-11 KJV 10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. 11 But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.

  1. He shed His blood

The Lord shed His blood in five major places; head, back, side, two palms and his two feet.

Each place He shed His blood was intentional and for a purpose.

It was for our redemption. Jesus was nailed on his hands so that he shed his blood for our redemption from poverty.

when He shed His blood from His head after they placed the crown of they placed a crown of thorn on His head, he redeemed us from the consequence of curse on Adam Mt 27: 29.

Mat 27:29 KJV And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!

Gen 3:17-19 KJV 17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; 18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; 19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

Everybody sweats so He is ot talking of normal sweat that comes from heat or the Sun light but hardship, difficulty and financial difficulties. Also when He prayed in the garden and sweat and blood came out, He redeemed us from the curse of Gen 3: 19

Luk 22:44 KJV And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

Because I have been redeemed, therefore I shall prosper.

2. There was an exchange

2Cor 8:9 KJV For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

  • When you have you will be able to give generously to him that needed
  • The yoke of financial struggling will be over
  • You will have all sufficiency 2Cor 9:8
  • You will be able to minister as you ought. 1Pe 4:11 KJV If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

What is expected of us: Prayers

Invoke the blessings on your hands. I shall increase and it will be great. The yoke of stagnancy and limitations are broken forever.

Every Midianite assigned to destroy the increase of my life and destiny be destroyed totally in Jesus name.
